Not sure if any one can clarify or not but was wondering if there would be any clearance problems on a non R car running 325/30/19 on the rear on stock rims ?

305 and 325 PS4S, for your reference. I did these before BJ mentioned the smaller sizes...I don't think I really missed out on anything. The OE Cup2s had a somewhat stretched look so I was glad to see the PS4S was a little more bulgy..even in the front where the size spec is supposedly the same.

I have seen a lot of people use the 325/30 on back and 305 in the front with no clearance issues. I ordered this spec myself. I am also contemplating ordering a set of regular GT350 Ford wheels since I can't find anyone with a touchless tire changer within my entire county and I don't want to have them mess with my carbon fiber wheels and potentially screw them up. As much as I'd prefer to just put them with the PS4S tires I ordered. My two local Ford dealers and half the tire shops I have called won't touch the CF wheels.

If considering the Conti’s, be aware that 305 size is back ordered until April.
Not ideal, but I used the Michelin 4S front and the Conti rears for my trip across country. They are so similar in performance, I went this route rather than go with Hankook or Yoko's both of which I don't like. If you can wait both tires should be back in stock by April, but put your order in now with Tire Rack so you get them.

As far as tram lining is concerned, the Michelin 4S seem really good and while there is still a little tram lining on really grooved in highways it was very mild. I do have a '20 with the suspension changes, so that might be part of it.

I've had rear tires (305/35 Pilot Sports for non-R) on order since mid-December.

FYI - TireRack tells me this week that the tires are due to arrive at their HQ on Thursday 03/05/20...

No bulge. The rears are completely flat. What you're seeing in the pictures is the "rim protector" — the rim is recessed into the tire. The fronts have a slight curve inwards.

That is something to consider. Are the MS4s also good for getting rid of that unpleasant steering wheel jerking that the Cup2s cause on regular highways?
Yup they get rid of it.

I went 305/325 in PS4S. I am happy in terms of fitment to rim size. The fronts have a slight curve inwards like the PS2. The rears are completely flat. If there was a 315 PS4 then they'd also have the slight curve inward too and all would be well.

I'm not happy with the way the rears poke out though. IMO it's almost like Carbon Revolution measured the offset about 1/4" off and Ford compensated by putting on 315s on a 11.5" rim for the slight curve/stretched look to compensate. Really odd. The GT500 Carbon pack doesn't appear to have this issue near as bad.

The 325/30R19 tread width is 0.7" MORE than the wheel width. It bulges. For good handling you want the tread width to be slightly less than the wheel width.

Unfortunately, the 315 rear size is not available in the Michelin or Conti rears. IMHO the Conti rear looks sized just right and doesn't look oversized. I don't have my car otherwise I post up a closeup.

Edit- here is a zoom from a recent photo:

Tread width for the 325/30/19 on a 11.5” rim:
Michelin PS4 - 12.2”
Conti ECS - 11.8”

So the Conti will bulge less. They tread width ideally is less than the rim width, but the Conti is close enough for me for street driving.

I ordered one for a spare on 12/31/2019. They just charged my CC yesterday. I'm hoping that means it's on the way!

Ok guys so I ordered the P51 rims in r spec with ps4 305/325 on 03 Dec. The tires have been on back order since then but now its looking like it’s going to be another couple months for the 325 rear tires. So I was going to switch to 295/305 but the 295 are also on back order. So my question is do you think the squared 305 on the r spec rims will look and handle right?

My rear tires just left South Bend, and will be here by Wednesday. Now I can arrange for installation, balancing, and an alignment. Anyone have the link to 2018 alignment specifications?

Ok, dumb question here and I don't know if this info is already in front of my face and I'm not realizing it, but are the 295/35 and 305/35 MPSS tread widths the same....width....as the 295/30 and 305/30 PS4S? I know the PS4S replaced the MPSS, but since the Cup 2 seems to be different than the PS4S of the "same size", I thought I'd ask.

The reason I ask is that I still have my stock tires from my non-R rims that I'm considering putting on my R-spec wheels that currently have 305 and 325 tires. But the stock tires already looked a bit stretched on my stock wheels, so I'm worried it'll be even worse on the Signature wheels I'm running in R sizes.
