TireRack says they're the same diameter, 27.1". Tread pattern may fool your eyes?Does anyone notice if the Indy 500's are short for their size? I got 2 tires in for the front & even though they are 255/40/19 just comparing them next to each other they look a good 1/2" shorter than my Michelin PS4S tires.
If you're comparing to your 275/40R19 rears, sure. Otherwise, no.Does anyone notice if the Indy 500's are short for their size? I got 2 tires in for the front & even though they are 255/40/19 just comparing them next to each other they look a good 1/2" shorter than my Michelin PS4S tires.
325 will still be a little wide for the 11", but not as much as it would be in a Michelin PS4S or similar. With a tread width of 11.4", it's in the OK range. Ideally this goes on an 11.5" or 12" wheel. It depends on your usage, though. For street-driven, it'll be perfectly adequate. The 285/35 is a very nice fit on a 10" wheel. So if these tires run narrow does that mean a 325 indy 500 tire on a 19x11 would be good fit? I'm about to buy rims, was going to get 19x10s with 285s all around but I saw a few pics of people running 285s on 19x11s and the next size for the indy 500 is 325. 325 should fit a 19x11. It really is a shame that they don't offer a 305 or 315
Well here's my 325/30R19 on a 19x10. Very little sidewall bulge. But I like it.. saves on the curb rash haha. Anyways zeros complaints from me!325 indy 500 tire on a 19x11 would be good fit?
Not at all true, but if you like it, that's all that matters.Very little sidewall bulge
That is the indy 500 325s on a 10" rim??Well here's my 325/30R19 on a 19x10. Very little sidewall bulge. But I like it.. saves on the curb rash haha. Anyways zeros complaints from me!
hard to believe. I figured it would look a LOT worse than that - like my pickup tires.Well here's my 325/30R19 on a 19x10
Believe it. Those are just 19x10 AMR rims.hard to believe. I figured it would look a LOT worse than that - like my pickup tires.
Yes sir. For me, a 275/60 on a 15x8 has a lot of bulge (like I had on my old 71 roadrunner). This has very little. around a 1/2 " per side. I don't subscribe to the lets suck the tread to within the rim width philosophy, As I track the car maybe once a year, and our roads are not race track smooth. Speaking of street, these things are like they're on rails! Thank you Firestone! Not at all true, but if you like it, that's all that matters.
You may not subscribe to it, but it is faster and handles better (and prolongs tire life). Bulging the sidewall isn't going to make it ride better. More sidewall height does that .Believe it. Those are just 19x10 AMR rims.

But after saying that and seeing how there is a little bulge on a 10" rim does that mean they would be near perfect on an 11" rim? The indy 500 325s, I'm assuming michelin or something would be way too much bulgeYou may not subscribe to it, but it is faster and handles better (and prolongs tire life). But don't take my word for it... @BillyJRacing
