I’m wanting advice on what options I should go with when putting together a return style fuel system.

My car is a 2016 A6 car currently running a PC Stg. 2 P1SC w/ a 4.63” pulley, canned PC tune, DW 95 injectors, stock fuel pump and a JMS BAP. I’ve recently added Kooks LTH and upgraded the OPG/ CS in anticipation of switching to a Lund tune on E85 and pulleying down... I’m hoping realistically for around 700-750 whp.

When pricing and building a Fore return style system, I’m asked to choose /upgrade several things like fuel pump size, electrical connection style, fuel pump controllers, fuel filter style, fuel hose style, electrical pigtail, etc...

For those of you that have return style fuel systems what are the mandatory upgrades that I should go with assuming I’m on E85?

I’m just trying to purchase what I truly need and avoid what I don’t... thanks in advance.

Thanks Stephen, I’ve been considering Sai’s kit as it would definitely get me into the 700’s easily and safely.

My only concern is that there’s no room for growth with his kit if I ever choose to make big boy power in the future.

pick up the phone and call @beefcake . He will get you squared away. Fore is the best. 750 on E85 is easily attainable with enough pulleying down.

Mickey, feel free to give me a ring and we can put the system together for you. We're Fore's largest dealer and have great insight on what you need based on power goals. Feel free to reach out to me on my personal cell if you'd like or via pm.

In general 11-17 won't need rails to about 950 or so wheel, we typically do a 267 or 274 as the main pump, and match that on the secondary. an fc2 or fc3 controller, i personally do the fc3 and pressure switch and stage them less heat and amp draw, microglass or stainless filter, and a pressure gauge

on an 18+ you pretty much need rails outta the gate

If you are fairly sure you will want more power down the road, we have our double and triple pump setups that are very high quality for a great price. If you'd like, Ill shoot you a Pm and get you a quote.

My advice. Get the most cost effective set up for your goals. And if your not sure what your goals are. Get the best set up available. That way you don't have to do it twice. When the goal posts get moved from 700 to 1500hp.

Like it has already been said fore is the way to go if you need to be future proof. For me, I only ever intend to make 700-750whp, So I just pieced a set up together using the GT 350 fuel hat. 300 bucks from rock auto…

Doesn't get much better than our Return Fuel system we sell here at @LethalPerformance! Our systems are proven to make numbers without breaking the bank! We have many customers running our kit who love them and the proof is in the time slips! #TeamLethal!

You guys don’t think the stock pump and BAP can get him to 750-800 on E-85 ? I think of you are gonna upgrade may as well go big but I can’t help but wonder if what you already have will work ?

I don’t know for sure but I’ve heard of some guys having trouble with the gt350 fuel hat ( which is just 2 x the stock gt Delphi pumps ) going much higher than 800ish. If that’s the case I wouldn’t think a single pump could pull it off with a BAP but I could be wrong.

Can he get there - Probably
Reliably and safe - NO

Been there done that. Listen to what people are telling you. The reason we have forums like this is so people can learn from people's mistakes or their journey's (like me).

Most tuners (the good ones) wont tune on E85 with a BAP on boost and require a return style system.
Procharged here as well. Started on 93 tune with a BAP. Moved to E85 and installed the Sai Li kit. Went from a P1 to a D1X = 800+. Running out of fuel at high end - went with Fore system.
Never had ANY issues with any of these systems NEVER - I thank the Experts at @Lund for that. When I first went boosted everyone told me you will always want more - power/boost junkie - they were right!
Look at my progression - it is just like many others on here. If when I first went boosted I would have just gone with a Fore system think of the $$$ I would have saved and still be at the finish line now.
Have a Chevy project I am working on at the moment and the biggest take a way from the Mustang is do it right the first time - spend the cash upfront. When the journey is complete - if there is such a thing - you will still be money ahead and have the best solution.
