So I’ve got a spacer question...which version do you run/prefer. I hear a lot of ppl saying they don’t like the bolt on 25mm hubcentric as it adds another set of nuts that could potentially loosen (not an issue for me as I rotate frequently and would check often).

Now if I order a 25mm spacer and need the long ARP wheel studs to run the 19x11 up front. Do I just punch the studs that come in the spacer out and install the ARP 3” into the spacer before install? Never used a spacer before and just wanna make sure everything is correct.

Does anyone know what my camber will be sitting at up front once I install the 19x11’s considering my suspension is stock base GT attire? Just trying to decide if I should buy camber plates etc? I put a ton of miles on and need my tires to wear as evenly as possible.

Thanks everyone!

no. A spacer with lug nuts installed, just use them as-is if you trust their origin.

The "best" answer is to buy the +1" ARP and knock out Ford bolts and install the new ones. slap the slip-on 1" spacer on and then the wheel. You can get the wheel studs from OP Mustang for $55x2 a set, and spacers from CJ Pony run a mere $40. Those spacers with embedded studs run $140 give or take so you're not saving any money. For $2 more you can buy the whole kit from CJ and they have a forum discount as I recall.

With the bolt-on kind, some people have had to trim the ends of the studs else the wheel won't fit flush (the studs stick out a little past the outer face of the spacer and foul the wheel itself). Something to consider, anyway.

At least on the first tightening cycle, lug nuts can loosen up a whole flat in less that a hundred miles. I'm not sure what the mechanism is, but I know from experience that it does happen.

So my set up.

SVE SP2
19x11
Et 50
-2.6 camber
Steeda camber plates
305 30 19 Pirelli Trofeo R
Lowered on sportlines and steeda shocks

My experience with these tires is that they have exceptional lateral grip. I have track days on Feb 29 and March 8 coming up. I’ll let you know what kind of Gs I’m able to get. The trofeo’s do run large though. They run more similar to a 325 or 315 tire. I originally ran 3/4 inch spacers but the clearance was to minimal. About a mm. So I had to opt for a 25mm or 1inch.

I'll be curious as to the handling on track days, not so much the Trofeo, but the springs. The Sportlines don't give you much travel, which, depending on the track could get you to hit the bump stops. Come back and give us an update.

Well I’m hoping to get 6k miles out of these. That’s what most of the z28 guys get. They say it’s more of a heat cycling limited tire than tread which could be nice.

so far I already went to an autox event with the sportlines, the track was very smooth so I had no problems. I didn’t feel any bottoming out during hard braking or when hitting the rumble strips on hard corners. This autox was a little bigger and faster than most. I clocked 77 on the straight. I’ll be repeating it this March 8. I’ll bring back feedback.

any other spring recommendations? I originally went with sportlines for the looks but the purpose of the mustang has slowly been changing.

I have had amazing results with the Steeda Dual Stage Handling Spring.

It's not a spring catered for drop/looks although it's great if you want a mild drop. It does wonders on the track though.

Hit up @SteedaTech for technical info and answers to whatever questions you have.

I would suggest getting the camber plates too.

Good Luck!:like:

Sportlines worked great at PBIR. car felt really planted. no bottoming out or drama coming into the brake zones or coming WOT out of a long turn anything. put down 1.09 lateral Gs. No rubbing or anything. tires were a dream.

with 2.8 front i got pefect wear. i started at 25 PSI cold. warmed up to 32. Posted a 1:40 flat with a few uninterrupted laps.

heres a pic after the first 20 minute session.

the only issue i had was that the car went into a limp mode a good 3 or 4 times. usually after a shift from 4rth to 5th or a down shift. I was able to control it best if i shifted at 7k rp instead of 8k. i think i may have a transmission overheating issue? is the FP air scoop for the tranny sufficient for cooling or do you guys run Aftermarket oil coolers?

Probably oil cooling not trans. Many shift at 7-7.2k unless you have a more robust cooling setup. Either way, wear and durability are compromised significantly by lapping continuously with 8k shifts.

not to get off topic, but wouldn't the air scoop increase airflow around the fins of the transmission therefore cooling the oil more? is that difference negligible when comparing it to a stand alone oil cooler and oil pump? or are you not talking about oil cooling at all and are referring to oil cooling for the engine itself?

Limp mode was most likely triggered due to excessive engine oil temps. I have run my car with and without the transmission cooler scoop and have not had any issues either way. I believe Ford claims a 20 degree drop with the transmission scoop, but I have no evidence to support that to be true.

Wringing the car higher in the RPM band creates a ton of heat... it doesn't surprise me that the car went into limp mode from continuous 8k shifts especially without custom cooling. I have quite a bit of custom cooling and I still only shift at 7.2k to keep temps in a safe zone.

Given the torque curve, what's the point of going past 6500 RPM except to hold a gear longer to the corner instead of up-shifting only to double-down-shift? Don't get me wrong, I like the sound of high RPM too but it's not actually doing anything useful...
