Retail on the non fan unit is around $500, correct? I wonder if it would be direct replacement for the Roush unit or would a lot of modification be required?

Minor hose routing and yes I think it’s around a nickel for the HE

Much simpler than a trunk mounted ice tank but probably not as effective.

It looks like tuning is your best dollar value when looking at max ET, the potentials there for sure
Tuning with E85 is the key!
Huge gains and it runs cooler. (As seen in that one PBD video.)

You may want to check out the following Roush site for authorized dealers:
https://www.roushperformance.com/help/dealersearch-parts.html
mThat just means theyre authorized to sell their parts and install them if they have an ase tech. Any speed shop can do that. They can’t nessecarily do warranty work on Roush built cars. Hines Park claims they’re on the only one in state that can but lafontaine is selling them now.

Yea but it’s not practical around me, I wanna drive my car and not be on a leash where I go for fuel

I’d do a VP101 or Sunoco 260 tune before I did E85, honestly if I did eventually tune it, I’d drop the boost to 10lbs, add the VMP HE and do a PBD tune

Still if it’s cool at the rental, I think with fans running for a few minutes while its cold out I should be able to get into the burnout box, then go to the line and make the run before the IAT2 go sky high

Roush will let any Ford dealer can do warranty work on your Roush set up. It's just a matter if they're willing to and have Roush pay them by check after the work is done and accept the labor rates Roush pays out. I was having issues and was 6 hours from the closest dealer. Called in and they said take it to any Ford dealer and have them give them a call and they'd take care of the issue. Turned out there was a small coolant leak that was leaking on the belt and causing the supercharger belt to squeak and slip. The dealer got a new belt from Napa, fixed the leak and I didn't pay a dime. I still take it to an authorized dealer but it's nice to know you'd never be stranded and they'll make things right no matter where you're at. When I was getting the LTR done they also told me I could go to any dealer as there was a over a week wait at the "Roush" dealer.

No not at all. Are you sure you don’t have the larger one installed already? I was running the phase one, had it installed 8/19. It already came with the larger LTR. When I called Roush they said the larger LTR’s were being sent out with the phase ones since may of 2019.
The lower brackets brackets that came with the new ltr (in my box) were smaller than the existing ones but I did dig in and look at the part number before ordering the new kit.

But here's my amateur hour story, I took everything off but just before deciding to pull the coolant hose I thought the new inlet might pinch the hose or not seat properly. (The new ltr lower rh inlet looked bent when I opened the box last night but I figured my "family" of techs at the auto group I work at would just laugh and show me how to easily make it work) So called out for some "can you please help me" and they suggested that I shouldn't try to fix it because it should be warrantable if we didn't play with it.

I'll agree with that.
Unfortunately I don't have E85 around here as well. I need to drive out to get it and store it. Not interested in doing that at all. lol

Well, got a few runs in tonight but didn't set the world on fire. They were bracket racing and I was told that test and tunes would be once an hour if you were lucky. Ended up getting 3 runs only about 30 minutes apart. Temp in AZ was about 75. DA was about 2700. Drove to strip took first run as soon as I got there. Car was heatsoaked but cooled off quickly when running the fans in between runs. Car is pretty consistent now, too bad I can't 60' for shit on my 20" DR's..

Couple things to note... I ran a 2018 with a procharger and drag pack. He ran a 11.045 @ 128.63 with a 1.7 60'.. Also ran a stock 2018 who ran a 12.558 @ 114.37.

Anyway, I could be a bracket racer at this point. Pretty consistent. Set my new best at 11.370 @ 125.72. First run was with traction control on :)

Obviously just being sarcastic. Nice work and I'm sure you did well against some much more expensive competition. Getting into 10s here is not an easy accomplishment.. It was warm as well the last couple days.

Not you Stymee 420. Those are rookie 60ft times still. Kind of shocked you didn't analyze them by now.
A55hole :) Was pretty happy with the car tonight.. There was a 2019 1320 Challenger on 17" MT ET R's running 12.7's :)
