Copy the file off the USB? That sounds like a file read issue to me where it can't read it fast enough to render at full resolution

So your saying save the contents of the file to the computer, then try it? If so, I hadn't tried that

Yea, I'd just copy the file to the computer's hard drive. In real world examples, USB 2.0 flash drives typically read at ~40MB/s for top quality drives, slower for others. Even a non-SSD hard drive is going to read at least 100MB/s and normally much faster.

I haven't looked to see how large the video file is, but if there are any issues with how quickly the computer can read off the flash drive, the first thing that's going to suffer will be image quality. Copying the file from the flash drive to your local hard drive (just copy/paste it to your desktop folder) should result in a 2-3x performance boost when trying to read the file.

If it still has image quality issues, might be something else we can look into.
