Pulled the driver's side knuckle off today and installed the Ford Performance/ARP extended wheel studs.

Work in progress picture.

Installed Borla ATAK cat back on my 2019 GT PP2 this weekend. Used 4 jack stands, BMR jacking rails and regular shop tools. My 17 year old video taped this and helped immensely crawling underneath of the “beast “ to get this thing going. :fistbump:...we did the BMR rails 1st to jack up car but used other jacking points to secure the jack stands.

Impressions:

  • not too complicated an install we followed Bill from CJ pony parts video and it helped
  • Everything came in one box with full instructions
  • It is loud as hell when I want it to be and all drive modes were retained
  • Black carbon fiber tips are unique and complete the look
  • No drone on the highway

Suggestions:

  • a shop or lift would be ideal , hardest part was getting down/up on ground
  • a second set of hands useful when push/pull exhaust off
  • The last step , removing the factory actuators has to be done with care, I recommend you have on hand electrical tape and a few zip ties to make sure wires don’t hang or get crimped when removing and then reinstalling OEM actuators.
Summary:

2 out of 3 wrenches , we had this installed in about 3 hours. The next day before test driving I tightened all bolts and once again went over the actuators on the muffler to make sure they were taped with high heat electrical tape I can’t stress that as others have gotten a code or not been able to use there active options because of a damaged pigtail.

I liked the factory sound but I love the Borla ATAK. My previous 2015 had Corsa axle back and was great , the carbon fiber on these ATAK made the difference.

Below are some pics and a link for a brief video.

Sorry so dirty..I fixed that with a good wash today.

You need to rename your garage "The Car Condom", that's a tight fit.

And the first thing a lot of UK people do is swap the round badge out for a blank or GT deck lid ... :cwl:

we always want what we don't have! :cwl:

That must be so much easier to clean without scratching. I was thinking about putting on an s197 style round GT badge.

Got off work early because of Mardi Gras, managed to get some rare weekday Stang time, and managed to get my first scratch! Luckily it's on the door jamb just under the tire decal. The seat belt didn't retract because the asshole driver didn't pay attention and slide the Mustang shoulder pad down first and closed the door on the buckle. Looks like I'll get to try out my race red paint pen. I'll practice on the big scratch before tackling the rock chip on the nose. :crying:
