I recently saw a Steeda axle back for under $500 on a forum sponsors website. I started looking into it since Steeda has a good reputation around here, and I basically can’t find any info on the axle back system (other than threads where people are selling them). Any opinions or experience with it? Likes and dislikes? How loud is it compared to others?

I saw that video - I’m still hunting for the right car first, and may end up with an active exhaust if I can find one. Did you find it too quiet, too loud, or what?

Thanks for the info! Do you have the stock resonator? Do you think it’s quiet enough in a daily driver, leaving the neighborhood really early, etc? I’m hoping to find something quieter than things like the Roush and MBRP axle backs, but noticeably not stock.

I have Headers, x-pipe, no cats and no resonator. It’s loud...

Jon's what are you going to replace it with? I didn't notice any crackling in your video as I hear in some of the others that have the Steeda setup.

Are the Steela H-pipe and axle backs too quiet for you?

I'll be installing mine on thursday. Running it with everything else stock for now, may add an x pipe later unless the tone is perfect with the stock h pipe. Build quality is extremely high

that’s a huge help for me, thanks. Seems like you have to choose either quieter or affordable, but not both, with these cars.

Steeda has a deeper sound over the Roush. Both are same as far as quality of build.
