I bought the PP2 chin spoiler to attach to my PP1. Does anyone know of a good tutorial or video? I haven't been able to find one. Others have told me it's a direct bolt/rivet application. The pins on the spoiler seem to interfere with my belly pan. The instructions are the best either. TIA if anyone can help.

I also bought a PP2 splitter for my 19 PP1. Today I started the project. I just put the splitter in place and really hardly any of the holes line up. There were 3 tabs, one in the center and one on each side, I assume they are alignment tabs, although my PP1 bellypan does not have holes for them, so I cut them off, pretty easy to do. The hooks on the end of the splitter that go inside the fender wells line up, the two screws that the instructions say to take off on both sides...total of 4...line up. It looks like I'll have to screw the screws into the bottom of the PP1 splitter, as the holes for screws don't line up, and it looks like you are going to have drill holes for the rivets.
I'm going to press on tomorrow.

aren't you supposed to remove the PP1 splitter (flat black) first and replace with the PP2 version - bolts directly into body colored part?
It doesn't make sense that there would be so much difference between the two.

There are specific PP1 and PP2 upper splitters, plus there's the PP2 lower splitter.
They are different parts.

drat, yes the entire bumper shell is different. THANKS a LOT, stupid Ford! And for being wildly inconsistent with the use of the terms 'sport' and 'performance package (means PP2)'. But given the sloppy wording and the parts fische It would seem that a PP1 car would have no problem taking the PP2 lower splitter.

Indeed I've seen pictures of several PP2 cars equipped with the PP1 splitter, and PP1 cars equipped with PP2 splitter. Now maybe Koons Baltimore can't keep their pictures straight but it does make no sense for Ford to multiply parts so pointlessly.

Only reason I know is because I looked up all the part numbers in order to do the swap on my wife's Ecoboost. The "upper splitter" for the PP2 is indeed a different part than the PP1 splitter.

Yes, they are different, but not by much. I have a PP1, bought the PP2 from Ford for less than $400 which I thought was a good deal. There are only 6 holes where you have to drill into the PP1 splitter...I used wellnuts/rivet nuts and if the plastic rivets come out, I'll use wellnuts/rivet nuts after drilling the plastic rivets out. Just to be clear, the PP1 bellypan is basically the same at the PP2. When you install the PP2 splitter as the instructions indicate, all of the rear holes in the PP2 splitter line up with PP1 bellypan. We'll see how it holds up to a couple of 3 digit high speed runs.
It's not rocket science and although the PP1 and PP2 upper splitter have different part numbers, when I was drilling through the PP1 upper splitter, I ran into what looked like rivnuts in some areas. Mine is 19, so maybe 18's are different, but it worked perfect for this old guy.

When I was drilling my PP1 upper spoiler using the PP2 as a template, I ran into what I thought were rivnuts, and also steel plates...I assume these are stiffeners inside the PP1 upper spoiler, I drilled them out and use the screws supplied with the PP2 spoiler from Ford. If they don't hold I'll use the wellnuts and drill them out to 3/8".

I installed mine today. I cut off the three locating pins and used the supplied hardware. No real issues and it seems attached better than I thought it would be. I really love the looks of it on the car.

I’m about to try this same thing on my PP1... can you tell me what fasteners you had to use/buy? I have a used PP2 splitter that doesn’t include any fasteners.

The instruction sheet posted above has a fastener list at the bottom.

Yes, look at the instructions I got with the PP2 kit, either get them from Ford or go to your local parts store.
I did drive from Oregon to Phoenix after putting my PP2 splitter on and was in the triple digits on a few times and it's still in place. I guess if I had to do again and was going to do some serious track time, I'd probably take the front end off and use the wellnuts. Just my 2 cents worth.

You can get the plastic or POM rivets in a kit from harbor freight pretty cheap. I used it to replace some of mine.

Im purchasing the PP2 lip from Ford. My 2019 Mustang GT is getting the upgrade. PP1 is good enough, i talked to a specialist. The PP2 lip
will fit perfectly... You don’t need the PP2 upper lip

I talked to a specialist at Levit town ford. PP1 can attach the PP2 splitter - Slight modifications needed, but nothing serious
