Hi Guys,
I need a little help here. I opened my engine bay today and found that a squirrel was starting to make a nest. I took off the cover and cleaned it out and aside from the leaves for bedding and a few bite\claw marks on some insulation nothing was damaged.
Since the weather was good this afternoon I decided to install my roush intake for the car. Everything was going well until the end. I was trying to get this hose that sits next to the tube that i have venting to the air with a blow off valve adaptor
This tube goes to the back of the engine and is part of the plastic part that the spark plug covers attach to.
anyway this snapped and it seems to be feeding air back into the engine.
can anyone help me identify these parts.
I have attached photos of the part that is broken
I think it's the pcv but not sure what part I would need
Also below is the damage the squirrel did

Thanks

Squirrels dont make nests like that. That is a rat causing those chew marks.

Think I will try some JB Weld tomorrow and see if that works

JB weld may or may not work here. The part you need is the valve cover, around $75-100 from a Ford dealer. The line is part of the PCV system and usually disconnects very easily by squeezing those ribbed portions and gently pulling.

How hard is this to replace? I am looking online and not seeing anything for this car. If the Jb weld does not work I will have to replace the part
This should be the part correct? https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-part...uZyZ5PTIwMTcmdD1lY29ib29zdCZlPTItM2wtbDQtZ2Fz

Thanks again

That is the correct part. I've never removed mine, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Pretty much just taking the coil packs off, a few electrical connectors for the VVT system, a couple of hoses, and whatever wire harness retainer clips need to be moved. It will lift straight up, bolt the new one on, and reconnect........

Thanks man
I just welded it and put on some clear silicone and it seems to be ok. Small amount of flex so the silicone should cover those gaps. Not smelling the fumes in the engine bay but it was a tad bit windy.
I'll order the part and keep it handy just in case
Thanks again

So far the weld seems to be holding. I let it sit for a bit then put some clear silicone on it to seal any gaps. I purchased the part and once the place becomes warmer I will install it.
Thanks for the help
