Big number but it certainly could have something to do with being broken in little more than some of the cars we saw a couple months back also I understand fuel quality can be somewhat iffy up North in the Winter time nd some people may not have had full access to 93 octane. Did it have any additive(octane booster) in the tank?
No octane booster was used just some really good 93 pump gas. :)

Just wanted to make sure you did it in 4th gear.
That is the highest rwhp number on a stock GT500 I believe.
Torque number is sure high.
Go get a 10.5 1/4 mile pass!
Just wandering, is the gear ratio in 4th gear 1.0 to 1.0?

Anyone think that the 500 is missing a true overdrive? For a 5.2L V8, The highest gear should result in lower RPMs, just burbling along around 12 or 1300 (which my 2013 Audi can do, btw). The 500 NEVER seems to like it that low. Cruising at 70 I'm at nearly 2k. I believe that is how the corvette gets such good highway mileage, it has nearly half the revs when cruising.

I can't say I miss a true overdrive Dev, at least not for gas mileage reasons but I do agree with you about this new Shelby. She likes 2k.
I believe the 3.73 rear axle ratio is responsible. A .56 7th gear ratio does not sound extreme for an over-drive gear. 6th gear in my Viper is .50 with a 3.07 rear axle ratio. It lugs in 6th gear doing 75 MPH. Top speed is actually in 5th gear having a .75 ratio.

GM went crazy with the overdrive gears on the new C8 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th are all overdrive gears the lowest being .329 which I found odd. They also opted for a rearend ratio of 4.89 and if you get the Z51 package you get 5.17 gears in the rear. Ford definitely focused on making the gearing optimal for both track and strip but it looks like GM focused mainly on 0-60 mph acceleration lol

760 rwhp w DA.. sounds similar to some 774rwhp smack I heard back in 2017.
Supposedly at least 963 crank and likely higher occurred on a Predator or Voodoo2 block circa mid 2017 (dont know if that was 93 or E85).
Could be total BS, but evidently the motor is capable of >>1000hp crank before cooling becomes limiting issue.
Wonder when someone will ditch the blower and TT a GT500 to unleash the fully operational deathstar.

Dunno, could be all bull, but someone claims to know someone and the numbers seem to line up occasionally.
Not sure what the DA was in Michigan Dec 2017, but heard 774 wheel uncorrected back then.

That was same birdie that made the bullet sound like 467/478/482 (uncorrected crank) back in mid 2017.

Just goes to show the DCT has 0% parasitic loss to the wheels from the crank.
:)
Thats literally impossible though, the driveshaft, wheels, tires, differential, rotors and probably more things are all parasitic loss, either its BS or this car makes like 820+ crank

And, of course, Rapid Red with painted Black Stripes because they're slickier. <chuckling> One thing's for sure, she's still too fast for me and she ain't even at 500 miles yet. :-)
