It looks like you have to disconnect the battery, in that case it would be a good idea to tape the battery cable end and then hook up a battery charger using the power port inside the car.

This hose issue should be a scheduled recall if it’s a known problem. Hopefully they put this out soon. They replaced my paddle shifter today that had a cosmetic defect.

Well Hush my mouth! As usual, I spoke too soon.

Reluctantly went out to take a look a few minutes ago, fully expecting to find the kinked hose but MUCH to my surprise, the hose was right in the channel. That freed up oh...maybe four hours today. Thank you, FRAP.

Sadly, "should be" doesn't always correlate to is. If Ford isn't aware of it, obviously nothing will happen.

Sure enough ...... :headbang:

I know you all probably watched the previously posted video, but I thought I would add some more detail.

After I removed the push pins from the cowl cover, I uses a long flexible head 13mm ratcheting wrench to get to the hidden bolts. This allowed me to move the wrench back and forth without scraping the strut tower brace.

I used a piece of 2x4 to hold the cowl cover up, allowing me to not destroy the tops of my hands.

After I removed all the hardware holding the brace to the car, I found a makeshift hood prop, then used a flat head screwdriver to release the hood strut clip. The third picture shows how I left the clip for easy reinstallation.

And here is the said hose issue.

Using a knee pad jut to the left of the fuse box, I knelt on it and with the help of my clip removal tool, while squishing the hose between my finger tips and the supercharger housing, i pushed the hose to its proper location.

The hose now in its happy place.

I found this helpful. I used my clip removal tool between the washer and head of bolt to get the bolts back into their holes, as to not drop them inside the cowl.

Now, I have a lifetime of tools, and have done this cowl work a few other times, but this took me probably 40 minutes to do. I would say if you haven't done this kind of work before, it will take you 1.5 to 2 hours. Nothing hard, just take your time and it's quite easy.

Time for

Good job. Glad to see this get nipped in the bud.

Ford - paying attention? Or too busy playing with electric toys to fix this ****up?

Remember the quality issue?
Well my car was the first to ship in the US, then a bunch after mine were held up. This would explain why my car has this issue. I am curious to know if cars after the "hold" have this issue.

EXCELLENT presentation, Jaime and you cracked me up jumping on the issue feet first this morning. Are you ADD? :-)
Thanks Kent, I finally finished editing the post. The pictures just plop themselves in there, and I can't tell their order until I post. Then I have to go back and edit everything.

To answer your question, yes, no, maybe, yes, maybe, yes.

I am not saying the hose was the reason for the delay, but any warmer and ya'll would be red hot.

The Hold was fuel pump related. Mine was on lockdown for a month due to it. This is a line issue at FRAP. They aren't seating the hose properly. And I just looked. Mine has the issue as well. Point is right through the sheathing and constricting the hose. Nice!
