I’ll be getting PS4S tires in the 295/305 setup for daily duties as soon as I get my R in this spring. I’ll store the cup 2’s away for track duty

Yes, it makes sense... look at the thread width of the ps4s, they are 11.5", just as wide in 305 as the cup 2's in 315 size ! Definitely go 295/305 with those.yup, he is specifically talking about the 350R’s carbon wheels and doing a 295/305 setup instead of the 305/325 setup with the PS4S tire as a replacement for the cup 2’s
ok then! I will do that instead! the handling and balance means the most to me, so i dont mind going down in grip, if im even sacrificing that. thanks so much for sending the info over!yup, he is specifically talking about the 350R’s carbon wheels and doing a 295/305 setup instead of the 305/325 setup with the PS4S tire as a replacement for the cup 2’s
while im changing the tires, does Billy have an alignment setup he prefers, or stick with stock?Man I looked up the same thing and found this article in a different thread:

Also from the the man himself who recommended above article:
This guy knows his stuff. I’d recommend reading (specifically tread width) and see what works best for you.
thanks this is really helpful!yup, he is specifically talking about the 350R’s carbon wheels and doing a 295/305 setup instead of the 305/325 setup with the PS4S tire as a replacement for the cup 2’s
Lookup tirerack recommended installers in your area and call them up; find out if the have the latest touch-less tire installation system. They usually do if they come recommended...thanks this is really helpful!
now the big question: what tire place would you recommend that can safely put that tire on a carbon wheel??
thanks and I did and found a local guy!Lookup tirerack recommended installers in your area and call them up; find out if the have the latest touch-less tire installation system. They usually do if they come recommended...
Are these not the right tires?thanks and I did and found a local guy!
now, no one knows where to find a 295 30 19 PS4S....
I am using them. Ordered with a new (second) set of wheels, in 305/325 front/rear sizes... on R sized wheels. Not to sidetrack here, but I am curious if anyone uses the Continental Extremecontact Sport on their R? I am looking for a second set of tires to use for city driving, which can sometimes be in wet conditions. My main desire is to have something that is decent enough when it rains, but more importantly, Does Not pick up every groove, ridge or gap in the average city and county road. I understand the Cup2 is a track tire and as such will be prone to this behavior on regular roads. Is the Continental the best option to avoid having the car grab every groove and gap like the Cup2s? Or is there another tire even better which doesn't grab and react to every surface grooves? Thanks for any input!
That is something to consider. Are the MS4s also good for getting rid of that unpleasant steering wheel jerking that the Cup2s cause on regular highways? If considering the Conti’s, be aware that 305 size is back ordered until April.
