I don’t know. My car is a 2015 GT Premium. And this change seems to be on a V6. So don’t think this will work for me. I have Bama working on this so I’m going to wait till I hear from them.

I need to enable my oil pressure guage
Is this something you can change in the IPC configuration?

I wanna attempt on my 2018 base Eco with 101A. From what I'm gathering from the info here, I can get the trim and the pod assembly, remove my trim, cap the center vent, connect the pods and go. Am I correct? Has it been legitimately verified that '18+ do not require a tune update for the gauges to work?

From my understanding of what other members have posted, 18+ Eco's need a tune for the oil pressure gauge to work.

It's the only reason I have not done this swap yet either, I mainly wanted the boost/vac gauge for the vacuum part for road trips to stay out of boost without taking the center gauge off digital speed readout. but I do not want a tune at this time and having a dead oil pressure gauge next to it would drive my OCD crazy

I have a 2018 EcoBoost Premium 201A and I can confirm that a tune is needed for the oil gauge. The vacuum/boost gauge will work as soon as it is plugged in.

Lurked on here for awhile, and wanted to say “thanks” to those on l this thread (and I guess the original thread too.) I just swapped the PP gauges into my 16 GT Premium. Relatively speaking, it was super easy, especially since I had the pigtail in mine.

Confirming the “new” gauges work:

Cutting out the dash. Needed to cut some of the dash on the sides of the ducts in order to fit the new vents. The clips that hold them to the cover kept extend into that space. Sometime in the future, I’ll likely go back and close off the center duct and seal off the gaps between the outer ducts and the new vents.

So, I still need a tune for the OP to work. Considering my car is still stock, and that I like being able to use 87 Octane for my commutes, what’s the least invasive tuning option? As an alternative, I don’t really want to pay $400 or so for a tune that only activates a single gauge, so what’s the best tune option?

I believe the only way is through ford which will probably cost you a lot if they do it or to buy a handheld tuner with life time tunes from BAMA or SCT. They can give you a tune that works with the gas you want to use but in my opinion if you have a PP car and I’m assuming you have the coyote motor then I have always used the highest fuel but I believe you can go with 89 octane and get a tune for that.

The only way to get the OP gauge to work is with a tune. Ford will probably do it but I doubt it. I’m just going by what I read when I did mine. I have a handheld tunner from BAMA and I also read that you can request a tune to activate the gauge. So I started to talk to Bama about it. They said they never had a request to do this and I explained that others where doing it for them through SCT and NGauge. So they said they would do some homework and in a few days they sent be a tune and said they figured it out. So the only way is with a tune. And you can get a tune for 89 octane also.

Also I put in GT350 gauges W/ GT 350 trim because Oil Temp is very important. That was plug and play on my 17 GT . I should also add that to enable the OP gauge I have to take it to Galpin Auto Sports and pay some $$$

Alright well, after getting a Lund tune, the gauge still didn't work. After a little back and forth with them, I decided to look under the car, and was surprised to find the single wire sending unit. So, I went to the dealer and bought a new unit and pigtail. Far too expensive for what it is, but it was in stock and a lot of the online places (like Tasca) are pretty delayed.

Chose to start my install by moving the existing grey wire from pin 48 to pin 57 on the upper ecu connector. Started the car and now got the low oil indicator. Lund sent me a second tune to try, and so I loaded this new one. Started up the car, and not only was the low oil pressure warning off, but my gauge was alive!

I may still go and install the PP sending unit anyways, just to make it more factory. Not sure why it works without it, but I already threw away the bags for the parts, so it’s not like I can return them.

Anyways: 16 GT Premium, non-PP, Manual - success with tune & ECU pin change

so Question for everyone, I have a 2017 GT Premium 400A package, I read that someone posted here that some cars do not have the connection is that true? Also I am getting the Eco gauge with boost and oil does the boost gauge work? My car is tuned by Lund so I figured I would ask them.

My tuner was able to turn the oil pressure in the cluster! But I am getting the low oil pressure symbol. Any input?
