Bought the car brand new ... car has right about 35000 miles and is at the end of the factory warranty. Car has been running a FRPP 2 since 2018...used to the power now and am looking for more. I am looking for reliable, turn-key, daily-drivable power, and that is why I am leaning towards the Roush Stage 1 supercharger, I am not looking to upgrade halfshafts, driveshafts, or engine internals or tax the transmission cause that will push me way beyond my budget and more than I want to do to this car. I would ideally like 600 WHP.

Am I missing something or is the Roush Stage 1 the one for me?

Roush would be great choice for what you say you're wanting. But then again any of the blower systems can hit that goal with ease, and be affordable. Better budget for replacing back tires more often!

Haha can't be that much worse than now ... already running through a set every 10-12k.

I’d go with the Edelbrock Stage I kit for what you are looking for. I’ve had it on my 15 for well over a year and no complaints.

15-17 Roush kits are very good. The Phase 1(670hp) is about 580whp and the Phase 2(727hp) is about 610whp on the Roush tune.

I agree that a Roush package is the way to go. It has 100% OEM like reliability and driveability, which I take matters alot to you.

I get 6000 kilometres. That’s about 3700 miles.
It’s worse, but only if you drive it like it’s meant to be driven.

I had the Roush on my 2011 Brembo GT. It was the kit that made 588 rwhp. Brenspeed put it on and it was perfect! I did dozens of 1/4 mile passes in hot weather and the car ran consistent times with summer tires in the 11.8s at 122 MPH.

That said, I put the Whipple gen5 Stage complete kit on my 2019 Bullitt. I used Whipple's kit and their Tomahawk tuner. I installed the kit myself in about 3 days. But could have done it quicker but I am a fanatic on checking everything over and over. The kit delivered was $6,950 with the only additional cost being 10 quarts of Motorcraft 5W50 synthetic which Whipple recommended.

The car stock other than the Whipple kit. Made 625 RWHP, 500 RWTQ at 7K rpm. WHipple said the blower makes 650 redline. It runs exactly like stock except for the power. Gets great mileage almost stock. 91 octane tune. The shop that did the dyno pull said the tune was excellent and he could do no better.

The nice thing about the Whipple gen 5 is that it keeps making power somewhat like a centri blower, but more torque low down. Fairly quiet. The Roush I had, admittedly was the TVS2300. It was great, but not as smooth a tune as the Whipple. I'm likely doing another whipple on my 2018 Auto.

Another thing. If you have a halfshaft issue, the '18 up manual trans cars come with a better left side axle shaft. Cheap and likely to do the job. It will fit the pig of the S550s I believe. Got it on the Bullitt, but will put it on the Auto if I go FI and use slicks or DRs at the strip.

Good luck on your pick. They are all so much better than even 8 years ago.

Powertrain warranty is 5yr/60k?

Bumper to Bumper is 3yr/36K miles.

You should still have a lot of Engine/Trans/Rear Diff warranty remaining at that mileage and year, all of which will be voided from the OEM with any kit you choose, however many of them have supplemental warranty that you can purchase that will cover up to X amount, although most of them only carry 3/36 which starts from the warranty start date of the car, not the install date if I remember the fine print correctly.

Thanks for the great feedback guys. I have kind of settled on an Edelbrock TVS 2650...I have a vendor somewhat local to me who will install it a for a fair price. Very excited!
All were good options though

The Edelbrock 2650 has the best look in my opinion. Likely a bit more lower end torque as well. Great choice!!

Looking forward to your experience with this. Good LUCK!!!

Since I have a whipple on my car and have had it on for around a year and a half, I can recommend their stage 2 kit for you with the new Gen 5 head unit. Itll put you right around 650whp give or take and the whipple tune on 15-17 cars has proven rather reliable.

However, Edelbrock is also a fantastic product. The good thing about them is I believe there stage 1 AND stage 2 kits both offer power train warranties and dont end your power train warrantly like the stage 2 whipple will. The edelbrock also has a much better intercooler than the roush kits come with.

At the end of the day all of the power adders will put a smile on your face no matter what.
