I really don't like Trump but not for a reason you would think.

As far as a president eh I could care less there are good there are bad and at end of the day they are just a figurehead fall guy the real stuff happens else wear. No what I dislike the man for is the flippin circus that he's turned the media into. I can't Sh&$, breath, eat, go anywhere or turn on a tv , the internet, facebook, magazines and so on without hearing about politics. I am so tired of hearing about politics. its 24/7 non stop. Man when obama and clinton and the rest where in office you only heard about them when something real happened. maybe once a month or so hell sometimes you wouldn't hear about obama anything for several months. Now its every flippin day morning noon night.. Trump trump trump.. trump farted , trump had a sandwich. trump called his credit card company... trump trump trump... politics politics . I cant even be entertained.. comedians.. sitcoms... every single late night show.... politics politics... I flippin tired of hearing about it. Hell half the car threads .. you so much as say wow tires are expensive and boom... its politics.. its trades fault. trumps fault.. democrats faults... I'm so over it. If people put half the effort into caring about each other then worrying over who is a democrat or republican this would be such a great planet.
Agreed. It is fucking exhausting. I am so fucking sick of Trump.

Just to talk politics AT other people but not to read what others have to say about it I guess.

I quit listening/watching the main stream media so I don't have to hear/see the stuff you are talking about.

I like Trump because his platform doesn't include getting rid of the cars we like.
Remind me again about which candidate is running on the platform of removing V8 engines?

that’s right. Nobody.

The world is changing. The climate is changing. The oil will run out. The V8 will eventually die. But you have one right? So why do you give a shit?

Dems are going to remove your V8 out of your Mustang and replace it with a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine. What a fucking joke.

Some candidates are saying that they want to get rid of internal combustion. They want to get rid of airplanes. They want to get rid of cows! Every year it's more and more things that are "killing the earth". Want to keep your drinking straws? Did you even consider it a couple years ago?

Things can change very quickly if too many of these people get into office.

I care because someone can make it illegal for me to drive my car long before oil runs out. Oil is not going to run out for hundreds of years - it might be more than 1,000 years before we run out of oil if we keep discovering new methods to extract it. When oil was first discovered scientists said that we had 86 years' of oil. Last I heard we have over 300 years' worth of oil at current consumption rates and with current extraction methods.

I agree that the actual supply of the oil required to make gasoline is not going to run out anytime soon. What concerns me is what could happen to the cost. Supplies can be turned on and off with the blink of an eye. Look what happened when there was a brief thought that we could go to war with Iran. Fortunately that subsided pretty quickly and I filled up my wife's car today with 87 at a cost of $1.95 a gallon. At that price no one is going to run en masse to electric cars. But what happens if that spigot gets turned off again and we are looking at $5.00 a gallon gas. That's where the danger of our friends in Washington and the state capitals get involved is. Let's hope things stay calm, gas continues to flow uninterrupted and the prices stay reasonable. These things will keep the demand for ICE cars high, at least for the general public.

I agree with you. It's good that the US is currently producing so much oil, but that could easily change. Obama was cutting off US oil production and a future president could sure do so as well.

Yeah, actually it is. You do know that Trump made the phrase "Fake News" as it stands today. Any time anyone said something he didn't like it was fake news. Now everything is fake news. He has also gone after Fox and some of its best reporters. He has created this entire situation because he is a two year old, thin skinned, cry baby. He has been this way since his early days in New York real estate in the 70's (something I doubt you know anything about).

Also look at the news on any channel, any night, what do see see front and center? Trump. Why? Because he cannot get enough attention. As far as he is concerned, it is all Trump all the time. The presidency is a reality game show to him. So what you see is him. His face, his words. The media is just showing you what he wants you to see. This is what OP's original post was all about.

Now before you get your panties all in a bunch, know this. My comments about Trump having nothing to do with him actually being president. They all all about Trump the man. Trump has made his own bed but refuses to lie down in it. He always blames someone else for his failures and rarely gives anyone credit for his successes (yes, there have been some). And by the way, I am not a Socialist, Liberal, or Democrat. I am an ex New Yorker who happened to have some family in Real Estate.

Lastly I am not 100% pro MSM either, far from it They can do much, much better. That said, these are the same men and woman who took Clinton and Obama to task when it needed to happen (and yes it did happen). Same folks who took Reagan and the Bush's to task as well. I grew up with Uncle Walt so I know what good journalism looks like. It would be nice if we could go back to that.

By the way, one last thing. Try and be fair and honest when someone is always calling you rude, mean & nasty names. Tell me you would not take offense if someone called a loved one a fat pig deutschbag. This is what he does, daily. Ps. they are not all Liberals.

Why would I care if you like or dislike him? I don't like him. What I do care is that you're passing commentary and not media function.

The main stream media has lied about Trump over and over and then if they print a correction it's on the back page. There literally is Fake News.

Heck, they spent two years saying that Trump did something with Russia (guilty until proven innocent) when there was absolutely zero evidence that he did something! How can you even fit that into your world view where you seem to think the MSM is for the most part doing honest reporting?

Consider it. For two years with no evidence they continually said over and over that an innocent person was guilty. And that person was the POTUS.

They are an evil empire, brother.

If Trump found a cure for cancer, the media and the Dems would find fault with it. The reason you hear so much about him is because he's exposing Washington for the cesspool of do-nothings that they are. Now Obama wants to claim the economic boom as his. The Libs are so panicked that people are actually starting to see that all they want to do is take over the everyday freedoms that we enjoy. You don't have to like the "man". Just look at your wallet.
