I bought the car from the original dealer as used with 2400 miles on it. The salesman I bought it from had purchased it new and had just upgraded to a 2020. The way the warranty was explained to me was that what was left of the original 3/36 warranty would still be in effect. And the 3/36 warranty on the new Roush blower would be in effect for 3/36 from the date that Ford installs it for me, on the blower itself - NOT the powertrain.
scratch my deleted reply. That sounds right, once your 3/36 powertrain expires your S/C components would still carry their 3/36 but wouldn’t cover damage caused by S/C.

And for my rental on the 27. :)
Didn’t think you were on a canned tune? Curious to see canned 93 time vs aftermarket time at the same track under similar conditions.

So, just to be clear, I think this how it works:

The SC kit, itself, is covered by Roush for 3/36 from the time it is installed.

The powertrain warranty, provided by Roush, is 3/36 but expires 36 months after the date the car was originally registered.

The non-powertrain 3/36 warranty is still provided by Ford and expires 36 months after the car was originally registered.

I believe that is correct. That is how I understood it when it was explained to me from the Ford salesman who is also a Roush dealer. I am also going to confirm that with their Roush performance department people when I take the car in for the install next tuesday.

Yes, the dealer will fill out a form, certifying that they installed the kit, the mileage, etc. and that is sent to Roush for powertrain warranty purposes. There are some limitations and requirements, of course.

Other things like brakes, HVAC, electrical and other non-powertrain issues are still covered by Ford.

I am anxious to hear how the Nittos work for you. I think I am going with Mickey Thompson ET street SS in the 305/35r19 size but I haven't fully made up my mind yet. I am not sure whether to try my 26.1 inch tall 275/40r17s first or not.

I need to ask my tech more about the issue of a shift to 7th near the end of the quarter. I don't think it will hurt with HP in the mid 650s, especially if the trans is in good shape and the fluid level is where it belongs. I am sure I will get the taller tires at some point, though.

Even though I'll probably never run my car at a dragstrip, I'm following to see results from others. Question; Have you got the 3.55 or 3.15 rear gear?
