i've done black gloss with green brembos... really easy to do with an ebay kit proper ceramic brake paint, came with brake cleaner, paint and brush.

These look great and I cannot believe I didn’t think of the idea too of colour matching the Brembo decal to the car colour.

I’ve been struggling to decide on brake calliper colour but the gloss black with orange decal is the obvious choice.

Decals have already been ordered !

Hey Kristian

Did you decide to do these yourself? Nick at DMC posted this last night and I thought of you lol

"
Who on earth would buy those fake big brake covers I hear you ask?

Guilty!!

They actually make a great way for us to display some of the caliper colours we offer"

Haha that's really cool. Still not decided yet...leaning towards paying someone to do it though. Fairly confident in DIY, but I don't think I'd necessarily do a better job than having someone with experience doing it, it's a lot of time & effort too.

Peter Stirland Ford have quoted me around 3 hours labor to have it done there. I'm there on Tuesday for them to diagnose my airbag warning light so I'll be speaking to them about it then. Feel inclined to have them do it, they've been so great in everything else they've done for me and have definitely gone over and above, I feel like I owe them lol

Unless of course they say they hand paint them without removing the calipers, then I shall decline!

Been looking to paint the calipers as when we finally get some decent weather and I have a bit of free time, have been looking at the E-Tech kits but keep getting advised just to use Hammerite. Although those grabber blue calipers do look pretty good.

Went with Blue Hammerite, 2 coats so will see how it holds up. Brakes look a lot cleaner, although excuse the dirty car/wheels.

Thanks  wasn't sure how the shade of blue was going to turn out but I'm happy with it so far, works well with the white paint and black wheels.
I like your hub caps, those custom?

Did you make a decision, Kristian? I need red calipers for my new wheels. COVID-19 is upsetting my plans for oil cooler delete and Pedders though :crying:.

I did as it goes...i figured if i’m going to pay ~£4-500 for someone else to do it, i may as well pay that bit more and get them done somewhere i know will do a perfect job - heading over to GT101 early April (quarantine situation permitting). Calipers come fully off, then sprayed and baked before refitting and flushing new fluid in. This is how I wanted it done, and in the long run i know it will be money well spent.

worried about getting the train back through London though, anyone wanna give me a lift? Lol
