After ALL this time, I JUST discovered this thread..NS. My excuse is that while I of course had seen the link many times, I ASSUMED it was to a FB page and since I don't do FB, I never checked it!

GREAT thread but that wasn't a surprise, your attention to detail is top notch.

Anyway, NOW i understand the flap bracket and have ordered a bag of them as well. Unfortunately, if I had found this thread sooner, I could have had the bracket waiting for the flaps to arrive. Now I gots to wait for them, dang it. :-)

I hope work is manageable today without any unexpected surprises post vacation.

Lol, thanks bud. It’s not much of a “build thread” as my previous cars because I won’t be modding this car very much, but hopefully some good information none the less.

Back to the grind, wishing I was back in Aruba WITH my car hahah. Actually, this car in Aruba would be a massive waste. Roads down there are too small and slow.

Not much going on here in crappy Massachusetts winter. I took rubbings of the SHELBY letters, and the GT500 bumper letter, and sent them to @Zimcraft.us on Instagram. He used them to cut me some test fit letters (I did not want the bumper inserts), here is the outcome. I must say I like them.

Also applied my Blue Mustang Registry decal.

I only sent him the photo's an hour ago, but hit him up on IG and mention you're a friend of mine. I know he's working on his online store, but I bet he will take your order, and make a set for you lickity split.

I must say I have met some really great people on this forum. I have made friends all over the United Stated. I have traveled from MA to CA to meet friends, along with a friend from ME, visited a friend in LA, FL, RI, CT. PA, NY.... and more that I cant even remember.

Today I received a package from @JohnVallo, who is someone I did a parts exchange with about 3 years ago. He has a beautiful GT350 and welcomed me into the Shelby community with a custom made banner for my garage. I am simply blown away. John, you are a great man, and I am lucky to have come to know you. I will hang this proudly in my garage, and I look forward to telling the story of how I came about getting this. I will keep this with my car, in my garage, wherever I move in the near future, and I will pass it down to my kids with the car some day. Thank you my friend Oh, next time I come to Florida (November) I will buy you a beer if you are close enough.

Did you ever find the part numbers for the Cobra emblems? I think it's a great idea to remove the emblems before PPF. I think I'll do that too...
