Looking at a couple different tires for daily use, with some long highway trips! Mostly looking for more traction driving around town to not spin. Summer only car 19 mustang GT 415WHP. Current choices and sizes are:
Michelin PS4S- 295/35R19-$550ish
Nitto NT555 G2- 305/35R19-$325
Continental extrem sport-295/35-$445

**prices are in CAD

What tires do you have now?

Not only do you not have the wheels for wide tires, maybe you should learn to drive the vehicle in a manner that comports with local conditions? Are you under the impression tires just magically overcome the laws of physics? How about throwing 150lbs of sand in the trunk to put more weight over the axle?

You can fit a 295-305 on 10” rim but thanks. Not sure if you think being rude gets your point across any better?

Hi Justin, listen you can do anything you want that's your prerogative. That said, no one on here would recommend that you do. Tire and wheel manufacturers would not recommend this either. Just so you know. 285 is max on a 10" wheel.

Anyway, the Michelin is the best, period. Thousands of owners and millions of miles say so. That said Conti's are always a good alternative. For a value tire I agree with Greg, the Firestone's are excellent. If you do not need or want 10/10th's go for it. The Nitto's are decent but really do not compare to any of the other three mentioned. Good luck with your choice.

Tire choice is not your problem. You have a surface problem and/or you're asking too much of tires before they are up to temp. Or you're flooring it and expecting tires not to break traction.

Spend $30 and throw some sand in the trunk. Problem solved?

Wow. Again with the sand? Gotta little thing for it? Try pounding it maybe?

States right on the Michelin site that a 10” rim for the 295 ps4s is acceptable ☺ Thanks again
