thanks for all the info! I’m already planning on 2 weeks on the train, minimum. If it’s delivered by the first week of March, I’d be over the moon.And as fast as you may think a train should go...unfortunately, they don't, or didn't in my case. I think overall, when it was moving, it averaged 30-40mph so hang on to your patience. And, watch the weather in the mountains. Also, if you do end up using the UP system, it's pretty easy and straight forward. I found having the system fax me the info each time was way better than trying to understand the weird names UP uses for locations along with the computer voice. With the printed copy, I was easily able to track her, she just didn't move alone very quickly. Definitely could have driven the trip in a quarter of the total transport time. :-)
