One thing I haven't looked at is whether or not the CFTP Magneride dampers have a different part number than the Base cars - I'll ask tomorrow. The spring rate changes seem minimal but I would think that the MR system uses a different calibration. I'm going through As-Built data and comparing my own Base car to a CFTP car to see if it can be that simple, as in using FORScan to implement changes to the appropriate module. My sense is no but I think its worth a look. If not, can the VDM (Vehicle Dynamics Module) be reflashed using a calibration for a CFTP car and will that require a change to As-Built data....

I checked the magneride dampers and they were the same part numbers. If anything they are calibrated slightly different.

I do know that the 350 and 350R used different MR damper part numbers - so it's interesting if the 500 is the same across the board.

Word I'm hearing is different part and engineering numbers between the Base and CFTP cars.

I would agree that the dampers are probably different. I am only going by what I was told at the parts department at my local Ford dealer and we know how that can be. It looks like they were able to get me the correct springs though. I think within the next couple of months we will be able to find all the parts we are looking for.

My guess is that the shocks are the same on the Base and CFTP cars. The whole idea of going to this type of dampener was that the dampening could be computer controlled. I think that it is going to boil down to different programing.

the difference in wheel weight might be the driving factor but it’s true that the 350 and R had different part numbers between them.

Part numbers OP listed were verified, along with the rear bar and RSD. Ordered the springs front and rear along with the rear bar and insulators. Note, I also inquired about the service panel rear seat delete - same part whether CFTP or R. Get this, economies of scale be damned. Even with increased production (used on the CFTP and the R model GT350) Ford bumped the price up with a 100% increase. That one got crossed off the list in hopes that FP once offers it again at a much more reasonable price.

So all 3 of those spring part #'s are for cftp?
Whats the difference in rear springs that they need different designations?

The rear coils run in different directions and are side specific.

Fronts are the same, hence, three numbers.

Just making sure. Cheapest I found online was about $50 per, and sold individually.

Interested to see before/after, and generally just specs and heights on how much they lower. How long did it take Eibach, FP, BMR, etc to come out springs for 350? Surely we will see lowering springs for GT500?

Still waiting on one of the front springs. Weird that one would be available but not the other.

Does anyone have side by side of base and cftp, or actually drop #'s of fr and r spring differences?
