As far as the wheels are concerned, I wish they would have left them on the LE's only.
I agree if the car is supposed to be unique then most items on that car should stay unique, like the wheels the quarter windows. All that's really left now is the quarter windows.

Exactly, I see people do a double take on my car all the time, once they see it isn't a regular GT. But that will lessen a bit now. I did get to educate a Roush owner on our Windows though at the Tint shop. He had no idea they existed. Thankfully they didn't reuse those somewhere yet...

Everyone likes to feel special..... The automotive industry has used the words "special" and "limited" for eons, sometimes in rather embarrassing ways and apparently it still generates sales. At least its a package someone can be proud of versus what we all have seen.

I'm afraid you just don't and probably never will understand.

I really want to put those on my BULLITT if I can find a guy parting out.

I think the chrome trim was available over sees, just not in the US.
Initially it was LE and euro. I've seen it on US car once but insure what model it was on. It was not common, if that wasn't a custom done job. But it is on the Bullitts for sure.

I just installed a set of the 19x8.5's that have been refinished in a PVD black chrome. I don't really like the original black and machined look but I think they look killer in the solid PVD finish.

They were my favorite wheel for '15 by far.

And I'd still love to get my hands on a set of the quarter windows.....

Where do you get those black ones. I want to add an 11 out back anyway.

As for putting them on other cars, I think Ford did the whole LE a disservice by using the wheels elsewhere, doing a %) year non limited package, etc. etc.

The 50Year LE cars where not parts bin cars. They where built only in the first year of the new s550 Mustang along with the Wimbledon White paint they are the only Mustang's to have these quarter windows

Now if you want to talk parts bin car that would be the 2020 Mustang High Performance package.
Pretty/sure he was talking about the high performance package. At least that’s how I read it. And those quarter window Louvers have got to be the coolest most unique thing ford has ever done.

For anyone who has seen the 2.3L iteration of the LE wheel in person, are the pockets painted ebony black as the Ford website claims or are they dark grey like the 50th LE cars?

Not unless you get a set then retrofit to another car.

I have painted the trim black to match my car. Since this is the only blacked out set on a Mustang does that make them even more LE?
