Should I keep it plain or add stripes ? If stripes what color and where ? I don’t think I want stripes on the hood , but some say stripes will cover up the rock chips on a black car.

If you're considering stripes, it'll be worth considering a couple of angles:

Is the car missing something? Will adding stripes eliminate that emptiness?

Are you missing something, such as the sensation of doing something to the car?

From my point of view, the car is not missing anything that will be fulfilled by adding stripes. Adding stripes will change the way you and others see your car, kind of like a giant piece of bling hung around your necks.

For my money, there are useful functional additions that would be more worthwhile in the long run, both in self-view and feeling of accomplishment.

If the car came w stripes

I dig them

If car came without, I dig em.

I just don’t like the idea of how vinyl looks, it has a edge on it and fades paint unevenly.

But there’s a gt350 thats white w teal stripes vinyl, absolute gorgeous. But I myself wouldn’t want the paint aging differently

I’m not a stripe guy, but these are growing on me quickly. Don’t care for bright stripes though. Like white stripes on red etc.

Red, white, or silver would look good.

But nothing wrong with leaving it plain either.

Stripe it, bro. Makes it way easier to find in a parking lot.

I'm considering matte black stripes on my Shadow Black S550. I like the idea, but I prefer something a bit more... understated? But thats just personal preference. if YOU like the idea, and it makes YOU happy when you look at it, then by all means, do what you like. Ain't no one here paying the note on that ride but you. :)

Ooo, I like the silver stripes on the black.

I've got magnet grey, and I just can't think of a stripe color that I like.

I've considered the big stripe for mine, black on race red, then, it's an EcoBoost. Granted, a 310HP sports car capable of beating most of what's out there. But on the other hand, I don't want to represent the car as something it's not, a GT.

What got me thinking this is that there is this parts store that I pass every day on the way to work, and noticed a light blue S195 parked there most days and the owner had it all modded up: high spoiler, big scoop hood, side scoops, fender flares, you get the picture. One Saturday, I stopped at the store to get some hardware for my new plate and noticed the side badge was 3.7. The person that asked if I needed help commented that he wished that some day he could afford a real Mustang like mine. When I said, mine's an '18 2.3 turbo-4 he quickly replied "mine's just a stock V-6. The bling is just for show". I gave a polite smile and looked him in the eye and told him what I tell all young people that admire my car: "This is my first ever toy car. Save your money and some day you can get one too. I'm 58 years old and still not mature enough for a GT."

Is it sacrilegious to put GT type stripes on an EB? Part of me says yes.
