If they did the swap for the R&D, it makes since.
If they did not, no since at all. Why not just put a blower on the GT motor? Placing the Predator in the GT does not bring over all the handling and extras on the GT-500.

They did it because the way their bank account is set up....
They wanted to be GT500 relevant, but couldnt get a gt500
They could get the motor though.
And now, between 3 people, are splitting 1 actual car. Nothing wrong with it, but im.the type.of person who wants to see my tuners/ builders have some skin in the game.

FYI, the only thing needed to drop a Predator into a Gen2 Coyote car (as they did) are Gen2 cams and a throttle converter box.
According to Justin, cost of a Predator is ~$30K. Thus prohibitive versus building a stout Coyote for boost, but you know once GT500s start hitting the salvage yards this swap is going to happen.
