Hi guys, as you know it comes with the cup tires, 305 fronts and 315 rears. I dont have any plans at the moment to track it, but I do love good canyon runs. I want to get out of track tires, but am struggling to find Michelin tires the exact same size as what came with the car. can anyone advise where i can find the right tires and what sizes i should use if I cant find the stock sizes? Im looking at Pilot Sport 4S at 325 for rears and Pilot Sport PS2's at 305. thanks to everyone in advance!

I replaced my Cup 2 tires on my 2019 GT350R with Pilot Sport 4S and have the 325's on the rear look great and work great. Highly recommend it. Other have gone with 305's on all 4 .

On my R I'm running the Pilot Sport 4S 305/30/19's on all 4 corners with no issues. Are you planning to go to the Track Attack? It would be a shame for you not to experience what a GT350 can do on a track in the manner it was designed and engineered.

I might be losing my mind because I'm sick, but I think that dude means "contact patch", and not tread width.

I think " that dude " ( driver FIA World Endurance Ford GT and IMSA Mustang GT4 program ) understands the difference between tread width and contact patch area. He is considered the preeminent authority on the GT350 and GT350R handling and suspension and was instrumental in the changes to the 2019 GT350 suspension. If he recommends a specific model and size of tire for the GT350 or GT350R we should probably pay attention to what he says.

I didn't discredit him at all. Not once. I didn't even know who he was before reading this, so forgive me.

Purely going off the picture of the post above, before I read the article is what I based my post on, but I understand.

I'm going to go cough my brains out now.

Man I looked up the same thing and found this article in a different thread:
http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArtic...LY-select-and-size-TIRES-for-PERFORMANCE.aspx

Also from the the man himself who recommended above article:

This guy knows his stuff. Iā€™d recommend reading (specifically tread width) and see what works best for you.
thanks for sending Billys info over!

Now, is he recommending that size for the carbon wheels? is that the wheel size for them? I dont mind going down in size if it helps in handling and steering feel, heck Ill do anything for that!!!

To throw more gas into the fire, here is a decent 2019 UHP tire test, other than tirerack:

https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2019-Tyre-Reviews-UHP-Summer-Tyre-Test.htm

And if you don't have the patience to watch the whole video, the Michelin PS4S loses badly in the wet to brands like Vredestein and Toyo.. Hmm. For me, I want a wet tire king as my second set of rims, as I will most likely track in the wet on it, and use my carbon wheels with Cup2's in dry only... where they excel.

yup, he is specifically talking about the 350Rā€™s carbon wheels and doing a 295/305 setup instead of the 305/325 setup with the PS4S tire as a replacement for the cup 2ā€™s
