I agree, just give it time to sit in the market, ADMs will go away... just a matter of time.

Ask the initial GT350/R folks who paid huge ADMS for the privilege of being early owners. They are likely extremely upside down in their investment. Wait 6 months and the Base prices will fall below MSRP and a year or two for the CF package. That's when the real market begins
These are not investments. It's more like have fun before you get hit by a bus or get diagnosed with cancer.

I don’t think the GT500 will have a 6+ year run like the GT350 will.

The GT350 resale values just recently started dropping. So if GT500 is only s 2-3 year run it should help. But I just won’t pay any type of ADM or play silly dealer games like making me buy painted stripes if I don’t want them. Too may other options out there.

Having been diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm and having to have open heart surgery in 2019 I can relate. Enjoy every minute you are above ground and never regret it.

Ha!

I just remembered you had an MSRP deal. I was jesting with the ones that refuse to buy the car for one dime over. We've seen this before with the 350. How long did they wait?

Well, for me, the Prime Directive is to get the car and if it costs a little more than MSRP, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. Tom's comment is right on, IMHO.
Agreed. I will say IMHO, one more than likely needs to be in a different place to understand it. In my field I see life and death everyday in a very up and close way.

Also my father busted his balls and lived his life with many dreams, and taught me the same. He was taken from me in 45 days from a stroke that led to me, as the paramedic in our town, to respond to the 911 call, treat him, and transport him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He was 67, and if I only live to the same age, that leaves me 18 years to live, and the majority of those years still working. Fuck that, and fuck the people that don’t agree. You only DIE once, you LIVE everyday. Most people think the opposite.

Jaime: I'm terribly sorry about your Father but having gone through a very similar situation with my own, he was 72, I hear you VERY loud and clear. Now how you do that job of yours is beyond my comprehension but God, if there is one, undoubtedly looks out for folks like you.

So I just turned 67 which makes me the same age and your post, IMHO, was one of THE best I've ever read on any forum. So very well said, my friend..thank you.

Jaime, great post, and I can relate. I lost my Dad at 62, and completely unexpected. He essentially "shut off" in mid-conversation with my Mom behind the wheel, and their car ran into a wooded area killing him and nearly my Mom as well. Assuming I only get that far, that's only a bit over 11 years from now.

I don't have my GT500 yet, but I did buy a sixth motorcycle over the weekend. :like:

When I got mine I was under the impression it was a 3 year run. 2015, 16, 17. I dont think ford intended a 6 year run. I guessing wildly they did not expend to stay on this platform this long.

I think they just got greedy, and I’m guessing dealers wanted more too.

If the GT500 is a 6+ year run, God help us all.
