I love this car but it has one annoying characteristic: cruise does not automatically resume after a shift. Yet, my 2013 Cadillac can do it and the latest S550 can do it. It's dumb to have to take/move your hand off the wheel to hit resume after every shift in traffic and hope you don't bump another button.
What does it take to retrofit that? I'm certain there is no additional hardware involved although I can't rule out a newer version of some control module if the software can't be upgraded for the original. It's almost certainly just a software change. Hopefully just a forescan change or talking a dealer into installing newer soft/firmware in some module, or replacing a module with a post 2017 version.
If anyone knows (or has a good guess), please post.
