Yes meanwhile evenCoyote powered F150s are deeep into the 9s with boost.
(aldowelds cloud 9 f150)

Show me how a 7.3 thats going to need.

Drop in rods and pistons.
Cam.
Headwork.
an Intake manifold.
And a wiring solution is appealing in anything.

Is appealing? Its pointless. This isnt 1969 anymore boomer LOL!!

Gen3 coyote feed it some boost and e85 and call it a day.

But hey pushrods are the greatest!!

Know what is impressive making "small" 5.0 runs 7s with a blower too. Rebecca Starky from VMP just did too. On a full retard racecar coyote build yes. But it wasnt no damn 7.3 either.

Seeing freaking Hondas run 9s NA at MIR and 7s with boost is impressive as fuck too.

But I guess only "real" pushrod fans or "real gearheads" know hotrodding.....

GTFO of here with that nonsense!!!

I guess I'm missing something. If I wanted a big block Ford, I'd get a 572 crate engine, or if I wanted to go cheap, a 502.

Neither is as light.....
The 7.3 has proven to push 600hp and a crap ton of more tq than the Coyote.
To beat the 7.3 with a Coyote, you must bolt on a blower.
After that, there will be zero weight difference.
Remember, the 7.3 is just getting started......

Ford really needs to offer a alloy version for the Stang.....
Proof is all the drag racing threads about the GT500......almost nothing about road racing.

7.3 is the better engine by far!

Hey, I'm a big block fan, always have been since I had 426 Max Wedge and 454 Nova, back in the mid 60s. But I think that goes "against the grain", as so many manufacturers are beefing up their small displacement engines and adding more boost.

I looked it up, found this article on Road & Track.

Next up, Brian shows Evan what the 7.3-liter can do with some standard mods. After some intake and exhaust porting, a custom intake manifold, and a high-lift cam, the big-inch motor cranks out nearly 600 naturally-aspirated horsepower.
Skipping through the video for a dyno graph, don't really see one but there is a chart towards the end that shows 563.
