That’s a fairly high dollar 427 build that made the same horsepower as the 7.3l with intake and cam. And it’s not even fuel injected.

So more expensive and worse drive ability.

Again, I built a 427. I fully understand what's involved. I hands down would choose this new 7.3L over the 427.

Why? Cheaper. Newer technology. Built in port fuel injection. Better block. Better heads. Better architecture. Better oiling.

Seriously. I struggle to see any benefit of using a Windsor block over this unless you have a hard limit on the length...or if the extra weight is insurmountable.

So again, I'm curious as to why you think the 427 would be better?

oops, sorry. I was browsing both LT1 and Coyote stuff and mixed them up. 335 was the biggest Coyote application I saw.

Yeah, that would be a no. Ford had made some four valve motors as far back as the sixties but none were every referred to as a Coyote. The Coyote we all know and love started in 2010. This was long after "The Cammer" became a dragstrip staple

Biggest Coyote based anything is from MMR and I believe biggest they can get from the billet block is like 6.0 liters.
