(Video) Rod Knock/Piston Slap And Clinking Noise Near Shifter (‘18 GT)

Here’s a 45 second video I have for some of my issues so far. It first shows the clinking noise near the shifter and then shows a rod knock/piston slap noise typically at around 1500 RPMs when idle or driving in parking lots:



Going to take it to a dealer Friday if they have availability. I love this car when it works, but I’ve never had so many issues with a new car. Super discouraged it’s with a dream car I’ve always wanted...

Sounds like an excessive case of the BBQ tick. It sounds louder than what my 2016 one sounded like, but still the same fast ticking noise. It's called the BBQ tick because it sounds like a gas grill lighter clicking noise.

I have the BBQ tick, but this isn’t it. It’s a knock to where I feel a vibration.
