D1x stage 2 installed!

Spent most of my day getting my stg2 d1x kit installed. It wasn’t particularly difficult, but I will say that getting the hot side pipe with the red race valve in and positioned where I wanted it was a bitch! Tomorrow I will put the fuel system in and hopefully my tuner will be able to get it tuned this week. He’s kinda pissed at me for not doing the Opg’s, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m hopeful that staying with the stock rev limit and staying off the rev limiter will yield favorable results. Anywho. Here’s a few pics of the install.

Thank you. I would be totally done tomorrow, but I screwed up and ordered the wrong pigtail for my fuel pump. I need a 6 pin one and some how I ordered a stock 4 pin one

I agree 100% with your tuner. Only an idiot does this and keeps the fragile stock OPG's....just don't cry when you lunchbox that coyote and keep an extra 10k handy just in case you do because its only a matter of time. I personally know 3 people who took this chance and lost, it usually takes right at 100 1/4 mile passes to break em with boost, my buddy with the A10 '18 F150 broke his on his 100th pass as it shifted into 3rd.

Aren't you parting out and selling your car? Do plan on getting another s550?

Yeah Ryne is an amazing tuner. I’ve seen him do great things with anything ls. I think he’s pretty much changed my mind on the oil pump gears also. Probably going to do them before we strap this thing to the Dyno

He built my boosted C6Z, which was incredibly fast. Good idea on the OPGs. I have them sitting in the garage for when I void the EB warranty on mine.

Got the fuel system plumbed today, but that’s about it. I was going to install the gt350 pump module that I got from eBay a while back, but I thought you know I should probably test this thing so I broke out my trusty power probe and damn it all only one of the pumps works, so I’m currently trying to decide what to do for fuel pump. Also as I mentioned is my last post I’m probably going to go ahead with the oil pump gears. Kind of a step back wards, but oh well I guess. Anyway here’s a few pics from today.
