Funny you mention it, mine is at the shop as well getting paint correction, Xpel paint protection (full car), and then ceramic coating on top.

Driving to KC on Monday to pick her up. Funny thing I purchased my 00R almost 11 years ago to the date in KC.

Yep, its an option, and one that protects the PPF while making it easier to clean and shine

New films have hydrophobic properties so you don’t really need to put the coating on top of it. I did film on the impact areas of my Mustang and Charger and ceramic on the entire car, including the film. Charger came out nice but I used a different (highly rated) installer for my Mustang and he messed up the ceramic coat on the film twice. With the 500, I’ll probably just PPF the entire car with the hydrophobic film and just use wax/spray on versions of ceramic coat in my normal cleaning.

Yes, it has been a long while.
Funny story: My car was one of several on a Stop Shipment Order at the Mesquite, TX Rail Yard. When the release was announced, a car like mine was sent to the dealership. They sent me a pix and said: “Come & get it!” I asked them for the VIN before I bought my airline tickets. It wasn’t my VIN, and they had no idea whose car it was! Turns out the owner of the dealership had bought an allocation from another dealer in FL to get a VIP car with a VIN of 022, and had it drop shipped to his own dealership, but didn’t tell anyone he did that.
I probably could have taken that car and got out of town before they knew what happened.
Bottom line: Overall tracking by Snoop seems to be the only viable source because even the dealers don’t know what’s going on — with their own cars..!
