Both are great cars. I would love meeting a PP2 owner at the track just as much as I would GT350 owner. No sense in fighting among each other. So much is wasted potential is wasted bickering between the models instead of focusing on just enjoying the company of another enthusiast.

Well hate to say it but I wanted a GT350 but was a cheap ass as my wife says so will be in a GT350 in a few months
But drive what makes you happy as long as its a Mustang

I’m a car enthusiast of different brands and love competition of its own brands as well. I feel it only helps the brand offer an even better product of a certain model. And as an example the new GT500 which I’m patiently :curse: lol waiting on. I have owned the GT350 and she just didn’t fit the seat of the pants for me. Beautiful car and had she had the auto available I’m sure I’d still have her. I initially was drawn to the Mustang GT back in 2018 when they offered the 10 speed auto. When I went to the dealer to buy one a freshly used 350 just came in on trade. My selling dealer then persuaded me to get the 350 when I was really wanting the GT. If the GT500 was only a manual I would probably pass which is my point on how various models in one brands lineup actually create a better end product that fits the seat of your pants. The article imo did a really good job on not bashing the 2 but sharing the good and the better but both are great cars.

And yeah I’m not a rower any more but have had a few over the years but love the new technology of the autos and DCT.

Not really sure the point of the article or conversation. Ford isn't going to release a better handling Mustang GT than the Shelby. The HP aren't on the same level either.

Don't bother reading it. The PP2 is handy however is slower than the GT350 on a track. That about sums it up.

The article reinforces what you get out of the 350 versus a GT which that’s my point how would you know what you have is either better or not as good. If Ford only offered one model then you’d never be able to truly appreciate the value you have. Just like GM And Dodge competing against Ford how can you know what you have unless their is competition. That’s a really great thing for us Motörhead’s today since so many years ago especially in the late 70s, 80s and even the 90s we did not have as many options for performance like today.

Both awesome cars. Can’t go wrong with either. Beautiful property and nice garage you have there.

They did mention the over heat issue of the GT with out a cooler added. You cannot really compare the two for track use because the GT might last 1-2 laps then she’s done.

Right and good point and this is what justifies paying more for the 350 which the non knowledgeable ones argue over. I like I’m sure others buy things and sometimes you think did I pay too much and or is it more hype than fact....etc. That’s what’s really nice about the options we now have that so many years ago we’re not available.

Well put. I’m not sure if I’d phrase it any different. I might add a side comment in which the intended use (as many know) was the PP2 was conned up for consumers more focused on everything on the daily while the 350 is more track focused. Each platform has their advantages vs disadvantage. And I think that’s what the article was indexed to convey to readers. Not sure it was super clear. The other advantage is that I feel the 350 will have a slower drip rate (depreciation) til it bottoms out vs the GTPP2. And this is strickly due to badging. I’ve gotten some hmmms within a Ford office when I joked that they should rename the PP2 pack just the Shelby GT like the similarities Ford has with Shelby American in the mid 00s with the s197.

The gist of the article, and the comments from the C&D Forum members who despise American Cars in general, is that the GT is junk and GT 350 is wonderful.
