I would love to learn the 2021 colors and any changes.
In 2019 I got into a discussion with Ford Upper Management about Ford not offering Lead Foot Gray, which I consider
to be one of their best colors. IMO it looks great on a Shelby or even a Pick Up.

So Ford told me that they agreed with me on that color, but that their colors were locked in until 2021. That's all I
was able to find out. Ford can do what ever they feel like, on colors. I might be wrong, but don't expect any color
changes until after the 2021 model year.

Ford changes up a couple colors every year on the Mustang, at least since 2016. A couple will likely go away and some new ones pop up. I think CJ Pony Parts and Brandon Ford usually post articles when they find out. I’d be shocked if they didn’t change something.

Usually things change up every 2 years as far as colors I think.

It’s every year in recent years. Dodge does the same thing on their sports cars. Helps keep it fresh by offering something new.

2017:
Remove: competition orange, Kona blue, guard metallic, deep impact blue
Add: grabber blue, lightning blue, ruby red metallic

2018:
Remove: grabber blue
Add: Kona blue, orange fury, lead foot gray

2019:
Remove: Triple Yellow, lead foot grey, royal crimson, lightning blue
Add: dark highland green, need for green, velocity blue

Hornet green. Wow. Ford will never reproduce that color on a production car thanks to (no disrespect) Mr Jackson. That is one of my favorite colors.

I wasn't happy overall with the color choices for 2020. Rapid red seemed the best choice. In bright sunlight, it is very vibrant, almost glowing of red hot. However in the darker moments of light, it is very, well, dark.

Many may disagree, but I feel grabber lime was a disappointment. The early released photos showed it as almost a metallic green. Instead, it turned out to be the shade as we all know it. I would.have opted for a metallic green all day long over any other color.

What colors are next is a big question. IMHO, it really doesnt matter because I would like to think that we as a group are after performance first and things like aesthetics or colors as a secondary choice.

Some may recall in 1996, Mystic was an option on the Cobras and in 2004 they brought back a variant called Mystichrome as an option on the Terminator. Very unique / expensive paint and panel re-sprays tough to match.

I had a 1996 one. Color was beautiful. Wish I still had it as they have gone up in value. If I come across a clean on at a decent price I’d love to pick one up again.

I would say around May/June. That is usually when the next model year's ordering guide comes out for the Mustang.
