I like the idea of this mount. Hoping someone has first hand experience.

I am using this mount. You do have to remove the dash piece to push the retaining clips holding the vent in place in order for it to slide out.

I just did it a week ago so haven't had that summer experience yet. I have the remaining vents pointed at me and cooled seats, so we'll see if any regret creeps in.

How was it removing the dash piece? I’m in a Bullitt and have two gauges in between two vents, so I’d have to lose the one closest to me.

It's not hard, just firm even tugs starting at the door. Drop the glovebox and pull the small trim piece between the kick panel and the dash piece because it is attached to the dash panel. I have a PP and the same 2 gauges. When you get to them, don't pull so hard. The cable attached to them is very short.

I don't know if you have seen the Ferraro mount. You can use the passenger vent with it since it is angled, but the nGauge is permanently mounted. You cannot easily remove it like the Joleobee, which is why I chose it even though it sacrifices the driver's vent.

Yes, that’s why I’m leaning towards the Joleobee also. It probably wouldn’t fit, but would it be possible to unplug and remove the ngauge and reinsert the vent without removing the dash panel again? Be great if you could easily interchange the two .

You can remove the Joleobee and reinstall the vent without removing the panel again. You have to pull the panel to remove the Ferraro.
