My British friend living in Cairns Australia has just bought a locally RHD converted Camaro ZL1 with 640 BHP, the conversion is done by HSV (Holden Specialist Vehicles), I take great delight in telling him there’s a bicycle chain behind the dashboard

Some official factory RHD conversions aren't much better... When the Mk1 Golf was converted to RHD there was an obvious short-cut in that the wipers were still LHD...and a less obvious one that explained why all the UK road-tests complained about the brakes - instead of moving the servo/master-cylinder there was a too-thin torsion bar that ran from the right-hand side to the left-hand side of the engine bay!

I've said all along the ranger would be amazing with a mustang engine in it because diesel's are shit.

Haha, it was the norm in the ‘70s but I think they’re a bit more sophisticated now.

Some early Mustangs were converted this way and sold as RHD in the UK in the 60's and 70's. I haven't looked maybe they're still doing it :cwl:
