Just wondering if there’s any option for strut tower brace with stock hood. I want to keep the bracing because gonna be road racing. Also not really wanting a centri style for weight distribution reasons and twins are out because I don’t like turbos.

I saw an Orange Roushcharged GT with factory strut brace on American Muscle. Not sure how he pulled it off.

I went the expensive route and bought a strut bar from a German shop that makes them for supercharged applications and stock hoods from what I can observe. Their website is in German, but Google translate does a great job of translating it to English. Looks like they have strut towers for the 2018 models, mines is a 2017. I got mine through the forums from Schropp Tuning @N/Angel. website to them is here: (https://www.schropp-tuningshop.com/cat/index/sCategory/525980). There is also another guy from the Carbon Fiber Addicts Anonymous Thread who did it too:

Just fitted this and It looks stunning :inlove:

This carbon brace looks nice but permits independent vertical movement left vs right side which defeats the purpose of a tower brace. Or am I missing something?

No clue lol, I have a Steeda K-brace under the car and the carbon strut tower brace was recently installed a few months ago. I wanted the original brace that attached to the top portion of the firewall, but theres no way it would fit with the Roush supercharger I have. I seen one that does fit with the original tower brace on a Whipple setup, but that requires adjustable engine mounts to lower the engine in order to clear it. Other than that, I see the newer gen superchargers or the GT500 brace may fit otherwise.

Might have been mine. They cut underneath the brace to make it fit. Not sure how useful it as a brace now but Im ok with the look at least. Of course the GT500 brace is the way to go if it will fit under the hood.

The Gen 5 fits with a 3/4" motor mount drop. Might need small washer to help keep it away from hard tq twisting.

The Gen5 is 5/8ths lower than the Gen3/4.

I have an Edelbrock on my 19. I wonder if simply placing a simple spacer/ washer/etc on the bolt would move the brace up just enough? I will look at this today. Car drives just fine without the brace, but it is not a track car, so...
