Hi,

Just wanted to get input - since we are so late into the season on 2019's if this is a good deal or not.

I'd be trading in my forum signature 2017 V6 Mustang as is - Roush CAI, 2.5" OEM GT catback w/ 2.5" Roush Axle-Backs, Roush Spoiler, GT hood, GT performance pack bumper, GT black accent package wheels, couple other goodies, nothing crazy. I have about 19.5K miles on the 2017.

The offer on the V6 was $17,000. I requested this to be inflated a bit because of how terrible Illinois taxes are, and this is likely why they are reluctant to move on the base price of the car.

Essentially the 2019 is $34.8K after rebates. MSRP is $39,730. This is for a new 2019 A10 Magnetic GT w/ 3.55s and active exhaust. Everything else is base.

Should I jump on this or keep looking? Other dealers have been around the same price on the 2019.

Thanks in advance

Keep looking, big time. See 2019 Mustangs: Buyer discounts increased for some examples of what is possible.

A true base GT+A10 (no AE though) should be $30.8k (example)
You can get the Borla Touring for not much over the $900 for the AE. The stock GT exhaust sounds just fine/good so maybe it's better to chase other options instead of exhaust right off the bat?

What makes you think this is a bad deal? I should add this is all out the door pricing. The included incentives are 'Mustang Retail Customer Cash': $2,250, and 'Select Inventory Retail Customer Cash': $750. So I believe I'm already getting the benefit of the doubt with the latter discount already included per your linked article.

37.8-3=34.8 is not OTD pricing. That's just the car including the freight.
34.8/39.7 = 0.87. That should be no more than 0.83 and really more like 0.8 since it's an unwanted trim and this deep into the season. How long has it been on the lot?

If we say the trade-in is artificially inflated by 2000, then you get 32.8/39.7 = 0.826 which is more reasonable but the dealer will turn right around and list your car for 22 next week and likely settle for 20.

That same 34.8 can buy you a PerfPack + AE + A10 + safety albeit in Kona.

Here you go.
Magnetic + PP1 + A10 + 301A = 34.8 (/44 = 0.79)
Magnetic + PP1 + A10 = 31 (/42 = 0.74)
Magnetic + A10 = 29 (/38 = 0.76)

Thanks so much for the explanation. Yeah, the first offer on the trade was $14K, then upped to $17K. I have KBB at about $15.7K on trade. I'm not sure how long it has been on the lot, is there a way to tell? I'd much prefer the Kona you linked. Interesting.

look at middle bottom box on the window sticker. You'll see a date. Ditto white label on the door sill. That's when it was built. The dealer would have received it shortly thereafter.

Did you buy yet?
MN has an additional $3,250 rebate just for buying in their state.
