Glad to see someone who's owned most of the other generations. I'm surprised at how few on here have.Just did my math; 8 Mustangs..... so far. 1966, 1967, 1968, 1989, 1991, 1994, 2006, 2019
Still have the 1967 fastback and '19 BULLITT.
thought for minute you were also The Rooster...dmanGlad to see someone who's owned most of the other generations. I'm surprised at how few on here have.
Mine: 65, 88, 88, 03, 05,15, 19 Bullitt.
Over how many years? I'm a little jealous of the 1st gen ownership, my first was an '85 t top GT in 1989. So I'm at 30 years 3 gens and 6 owned myself. 85, 94, 96, '00, another 94 (all GT's) and current '18 GT and I bought a 93 LX for my girlfriends son, but he killed it putting it thru a garage.Glad to see someone who's owned most of the other generations. Ahh, some more long term Mustang fans. My list was over the last 30 years as well.Have owned a ‘65 289ci in the late 70’s. And bought new in ‘82, ‘83, ‘84, ‘03, ‘16 all GT’s, ‘03 SVT Cobra Vert (still have). And the BULLITT. And maybe in late ‘20 when all the hype ends a GT500. Always buy when the next model year hits the floor folks you’ll save thousands. You may not get the color or package desired, but some times if you search hard enough you find your car.
I forgot to count my '07 which is my current daily. So really I'm at 7 and 4 gen's...I just got the '07 a couple weeks ago, so far so good except the leaking water onto the pass. side floor which I solved last weekend once it reared it ugly head!Ahh, some more long term Mustang fans. And now the "Charlie's Angels" 2nd gen's have finally come into their own... I helped judge at the Krieger Ford All Mustangs 40th anniv foxbody show this past summer, and we had several fine examples of 2nd gens on display there. I've kinda always liked em, had a high school girlfriend who's dad was a Ford nut back in the day, made sure she had a '78 Cobra. I was influenced by that car early on, especially because my dad was an Olds man who loved old Mopar's...the only thing Ford he owned when I was growing up was an F150 which we used on the farm mostly. The first time I saw a foxbody up close was in early 1980 when a friend of the family ended up buying a '79 pacecar that was all decked out with all the dealer applied graphics...the day I saw that car I knew I wanted a foxbody someday...for me that someday ended up being at the age of 19 when I bought my first Mustang.I love it, multi-gener’s who really appreciate the evolution through the years.
I did stay away from what I call the Charlie’s Angels years.......lol. I am showing my age.
Yeah, lots of different mustangs for me to, 1980 first car, 1985 GT second car, 1965, 1969 coupe, 2005 GT, 2000 cobra r, 2 Gt350s, Boss LS, GT500, 2009 CS, BullittMustangs I’ve owned....I’m sure I’ll forget a couple.... 73 Ghia 351w, 74 Mustang 2, 76 Mustang 2, 79 GT Turbo, 83 GT Turbo, 86 SVO, 88 GT, 88 Lx, 89 GT, 90 GT, 95 GT boss 363, 17 GT.
those were the years after Ford had to put new heads on every Cobra sold! they lied about the HP rating and it cost them BIG. that's why John Colletti insisted on the '03 Cobra really put down some power for its year and motor size. still have mine as an original owner.Jason you got that right! but like our cars over the years, the world, then and now, is different. "there've been good times, there've been bad times..." kinda like the 2003 cobra and the 1999 models. hey, they didn't even make them in 2001-2. take care man. dman
