For no extra money? In a heartbeat :p

Slightly different position from most of you though because I'm in a V6 though haha.

The Camaro SS/1LE ($37k) trim is basically a GrandSport ($56k) at a 1/3rd off

Would depend on the spec of the C7.

Would need to add boost to it if it wasn’t a Z06 or ZR1. I am too used to driving with 700hp from my boosted GT, so anything less would feel lacking.

I'd buy a Corvette if my only other option was a Roush Mustang.

I had a V6 at first... drove the wheels off that car before I traded it View attachment 421905
I'll be ragging on this car for a while yet, I don't really see myself upgrading to a GT when I'm through with it though. Probably move to something like a Supra, C8, Cayman, or some nice electric car that comes out (I'd love a proper coupe out of Tesla that isn't the 200k Roadster). If I stick to my plan (will be hard), it'll be about another 8 years with this car (longest I've had a car is 3 probably, which is where I'm at with this one so far) to let me finish my school loans and then move up to a lightly used version of one of those cars.

I'll reverse you....sort of...

I started with a '17 Z06 and wanted something I would enjoy better modifying that was also more suited for the straight line strip... After a ton of research and looking into multiple platforms, I grabbed a GT last month that I'm going to turbocharge sometime in late Q1 next year.

They're just such different animals, really. I've ridden in a friend's GT350 (not the R) at a local autox, and going from that back to my Z06, my Z06 still felt like a scalpel whereas the gt350 still felt like a sledgehammer. I'm sure the GT350R would be a bit more in line, but I can say even between stock 18+ GT vs stock C7 GS, the Vette just feels way more balanced attacking turns.

Can't really compare my GT to my Z06, though. Both are stock, but the Z feels like a budget front engined supercar, whereas the GT feels like a fun sports car with a ton of grunt and heft. I like them both for different reasons and am keeping both for different purposes. Can't go wrong with any trim C7, though IMO... especially if you love driving a manual, the 7 Spd is insanely strong and that 7th gear is such a godsend if you commute on the highway.

No no no no...trust me. There is quite a difference. The C7 may not be the greatest chassis ever but the difference between a GS and an SS 1LE is pretty remarkable. The ZL1 1LE on the other hand...

I didn't say the SS/1LE drives the same as the GS. It has the same "premium" components. eLSD, magneride, big brakes, wide wheels, performance exhaust. The only significant item the GS has that the SS doesn't is the dry sump. The ZL1/1LE has totally different suspension from Multimatic. AFAIK you can't get that for the Corvette (maybe the race team can)
