This can be done either way it literally take 5 mins to remove that antenna if you dont want to cut around it. the headliner is held with magnets (in newer car) and you just pull it down a bit in back and undo 1 nut and the antenna comes off if you dont feel good about cutting.
Thanks for suggestion. I would prefer to go this way.
Is it easy to put antenna back on place without risk of leakage?

Added Drake side skirt extensions, works pretty well with the pp2 splitter and Air Design hood vents imo...

I normally don't like Black rims but those look awesome.

I'm scared to ask what they are and what size etc.etc because I can't afford them :computerrage:

Those are just the PP2 rims they’re OEM on the PP2. The tire size is 305 all around not sure what the rim size is but a google search for the pp2 package will probably turn that information up though.

if you like them LMR makes some replicas called the SVE SP2 and they’re relatively inexpensive.

Front is 19x10.5 24mm offset. Rear is 19x11 48mm offset. Ford performance has matte black version for $419.00 each.

*EDIT: I believe the LMR wheels are not as wide and have different offsets.

Its got a double seal, bolting back down re-seals just fine. Its not a seal seal you have to break once unbloted it just comes off, the antenna, its strips on bottom of antenna.

Changed the oil and drove it for the first time since August. Stopped to fill it with fresh 93 and Sta-bil mix, and to check the oil level.

It was nearly 60 degrees today. Loving this "climate change".

I bought it two years ago this month and it has 7825 miles on it so far... I plan to keep this one until I turn in my meat-suit.

Did you have to drill?
They are held on with the existing push pins, 3m tape runs the length, and some self tapping screws on the bottom, so yes. I actually added a few extra slightly-larger self tapping screws to make them even more secure. The holes would be totally invisible if the extensions were removed because they are so far underneath the car.

As nameuser said, the are factory pp2. The color is "dark tarnish stainless" per Ford. There is definitely something about them that makes them really stand out. Also, for the moment the rear are 305/35/19 Pilot Super Sport, the front are 305/30/19 (stock-sized) Ventus V12. My front Pilot Super Sports are on back order. I'm trying the 35's because i like the meatier look of them.

I like the look of the 35 more as well. Also, just tire for tire, the michlens look better than the ventus v12. I had those before my current michlen as3+ setup.

Finally got the 68 race car finished :sunglasses: I’m really happy with it, the hardest part was applying the gold stripes. Looks awesome parked up next to the 550 :

Yesterday I added Steeda hood struts. Install was pretty simple and they work great.

Today, I got an oil change and added a Steeda H-Pipe to go along with my existing Roush Axle-back.

H-Pipe definitely has a deeper sound especially in lower RPM's. Sound in the cabin while cruising on the hwy is barely louder than w/o it. Put the pedal down and it screams. I want to hear it from the outside before I say it sounds good or not at high rpm. Overall, I'm happy with the change.

Update: So I met my wife for lunch and she followed me for a bit on the way back to work. At one stop light I ran it up to 5k rpm in 1st and 2nd. She called me and I asked if it was too loud. Wife: "It's really loud and sounds really good. It's a muscle car, it's supposed to sound muscley."

So there ya have it. Wife approved!

Agreed, I love the Ventus, for the price I think they are outstanding. Decent wear on my pp2 and just as good on my last car, a 335 that put down tons of torque. The Michelin are just better all around, and the do look better too. Worth the price if you want the best.
