Tracking in Daytona in December doesn't suck either :sunglasses:

I have family in Greenville and visit quite often (couple times a year), and would love to move there. Sadly work has me in California a for the the foreseeable future
You're complaining about being in California weather!? You don't know how good you have it in that respect. Seriously though, I envy you. :sunglasses:

If I were moving to NC I would consider Asheville. Just beautiful with lots of diversity.

Snow .... boo.
I have lived in the Indy area for 20 years now since I moved here in 1999 from the U.K... but I am originally from somewhere south of the equator.

We have talked about moving every winter since I competed my residency ... but still here .
I feel worse now since I discovered mustangs are not “bad “ as was the stereotype back then ... and now have 4 . Lol
I did not worry as much when I still had access to my trusted 2013 S4, but since the middle kid started driving had to “readjust “ as my wife now drives as the kid now drives her Explorer sport ..

I would have let the kid have the Audi but she had no interest in learning how to drive a manual .

I am driving my 9 second , 2018 (with snow tires of course ) now through this winter . It’s actually okay as long as the snow on the ground is not more than a couple of inches (it’s lowered ) but forget ice !.

Hoping to move somewhere I can drive and drag race all year round as soon as the middle kid is off to college (youngest would not have started HS) .

Asheville would be my choice. Better people, best of both worlds.

Anyone else in North Carolina that would suggest the best place to move?
Never been but I have always been intrigued by the Kill Devil Hills, coastal area...

I live in the Hickory, NC area, 60 miles NW of Charlotte, 45 miles south of Boone, 75 miles east of Asheville. I love the area, close to some great mountain roads (under 3 hours from Tail of the Dragon), an hour from the CLT airport. I-40 runs through Hickory and is 30 miles from the I-40/I-77 interchange. I-85 is 35 miles south. It's easy to get anywhere from Hickory if you need to. Cost of living is very reasonable here, good hospitals, etc.

Are you retiring here, if working, what do you do? That might lead you to another area of the state.

Having to store a car for the winter would be tough. I like having four nice distinct seasons, if you happen to not like the weather, it's not going to be 5 months of what you don't like.

Driving Tail of the Dragon is something that I have on my bucket list. I am semi retiring. Finding a great job is not on the top of my priority list, but rather a great place to live.
