I’m heavily considering buying a GT with the performance package 1. But I just realized that with the Brembos I may be limited in choices for a winter tire/rum setup. What have others done? Would prefer a square setup and not break the bank. Looks are secondary for the 4 months of winter I need to deal with.

I will likely be switching to an A/S tire for the other 8 months too after the stock summer tires wear out. I just loved the look and the way the perf pack 1 drove. Won’t be auto crossing it at all but would probably take it to the drag strip just like I did with my old 2001 GT.

Lots of vendors have cheap 19" wheels that will fit your brakes. LMR for example has a slew of SVE wheels for a good price.

I personally went a step further, I ended up using my OEM PP wheels for the winter setup because I wanted narrower tires in the snow. Then I went with some 19x10 and 19x11 SVE wheels for summer with some beefy tires for grip.

Thanks for your response. That’s great to know that there are economical 19” rims that will fit. Do you know if any 19x9 rims would work on my car all around (square setup?). Also, what about 18” rims? Wonder if 18” rims would be too small for the Brembos - particularly up front?

The 11-14 Brembo wheels are 19x9 and fit, or some replica wheels from American Muscle.

There are several 18" wheels that fit, but most of those are rather expensive since they are specifically built and usually for racing. APEX is a popular choice, and if you can find them the Team Dynamics Pro 1.3

8.5 to 9.5 square. Wheels can be had for $300 a set (https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/18”-wheels-on-pp-for-the-budget-minded.129604/) or $600/set (LMR various 10 square when on sale - Christmas sale coming again?) and of course a lot more. Unless you get real snow a typical A/S tire will suffice. Look at tirerack rankings for any of the top 5 or so and you'll be good to go.

For example this combo is reasonably priced.

I ran a 245/45/19 setup with the Michelin Xi3, I just can't remember the specs on the wheels they were a Moda MD7 or something like that, a square setup. Most all 18's aren't going to fit over the Brembo's there's only like 1 or 3 with an oversized barrel that will fit.

Sounds like I’ll probably just find a square 19” rim that works. I’d prefer to have 19x8” wide rims for winter but it seems most are 9”. I think if I’m mindful of the offset I should be able to easily find a square 19x9 that won’t break the bank. Thx guys.

EB with PP wheels are 19x9 square.
do the 19x9 wheels from the EB PP1 Stang fit at all four corners of the GT PP1? Or are spacers necessary?

Bought my first 5.0 last week.
Followed some of the other post here about winter tire.
18in that fit the brakes where too pricey.
Went 19x8.5 instead.
Fast fc08 was my first choice.
But they only had it in 18. And they dont clear.
Had to go for the fc04.
Tires are nokian hakka r3...
I like skinny winter tire. Lots of wet snow around here.

I haven’t been able to find those FC04 or FC08 rims in 19x8.5. But I was able to locate some AmerMuscle OEM style 19x8.5. I think they are what came on the 2018 EB with the PP as someone else pointed out. And they are only $159 each rim. That’s about what I’m looking to spend.
Thanks again guys. Of course, I still need to actually buy my stang, lol! Getting closer...

Hi, I have a set of Fast FC04 19x8.5 wheels, 45 offset with 245/45-19 Toyo Observe GSi-6 HP winter tires. Works good, but still slippery with those 460 horses under the good. I went with the square setup so I can rotate them and try to extend their life a little. This is my first winter with the Mustang. The whole setup cost me $2600 CDN.
