Eh I liked it in the S197 but I don’t see it working with the S550 unless they can replicate the roof lines with glass as I love the roof lines on these cars. Another issue would be where to place the antenna would it be in the body of the car like a convertible because frankly I wouldn’t like that either.

I think ford should work on a removable roof like all corvettes have for the next gen mustang.

2009 and up I believe. And it probably was not a popular option because in order to get it you had to fully option out the car... A case of them bundling an option with a ton of other options that you don't want. (I believe you had to buy the top of the line premium interior package to get it....)

I “Liked” you’re comment where you’re going with this. I’ve said amongst my circle for years that Ford should do a Hardtop Vert. I’d be over the moon if they did. Best of both worlds. It’s not unheard of either. Caddy done it, Pontiac did it, and BMW is still doing it (lease those that come to mind).

I must say, I loved the t-tops on top of my 99 SS but they and mullets are best left in the pass! Even if t-tops come back, I doubt my party in the front ever will!

It was a 1995.00$ option. I hope if they do it, it will be better than on the ford Edge because a lot of have cracks that appears suddenly. Ford always said it is rock impact. Easy answer but not true
