My 2019 Aston Martin came from the factory with a magnetic clip on battery tender connector. I love this connector so much I had to add it to the GT350. I purchased the connectors off EBay and installed it today. You simply open the cover and snap the charging connector onto the port on the car and you are done. You just need to wire the port to the car and wire the connector to the charger. I decided the best place to install the port was in the plastic wheel well cover. Easily accessible and with the dust and weather cover, rain and moisture is not an issue. For those who drive in the snow and ice you might need to find another location but for me this works great.

Wow, that is slick! Do you know what the current rating is?

Edit: NVM the listing says 25A! I don't know how much I believe that, but my charger is max 8A so I'm good with it.

It says max current 25 Amps. I just use it for a battery tender so I am guessing my current drew is very small.

That looks like awfully small wire for 15A.
A battery tender probably only outputs 1500 milliamps. If you need to charge a dead battery open the hood and use a battery charger hooked to the battery.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Interesting, but opening the hood and just snapping together the connector plug for the Ctek is pretty damn simple as well.

no way you can sustain 15 or 20 so amps on such a small gauge wire.....its going to overhear and melt.

Opening the hood for me is not feasible as I stack my cars.

I am glad we have an electrical engineer in the house. You need to go back to school as a 16 gauge wire can handle a 15A load. Again this will be used with a battery tender which outputs only 1500 milliamps. I guess I labeled this tread incorrectly as it should have been titled best battery tender connection.

Great idea OP. Love the simplicity of that connector.

Btw here is a chart on gauging since this thread is devolving.
Also hope that pigtail comes with a fuse on the other end.

Yes it has a fuse very close to the positive connection. Thanks for the chart. My tender outputs 1500 ma.
