I like sync 3 better than apple CarPlay but I do like waze and I’m always to lazy to cable up to get that so this should solve that problem. Long trips I’ll need to cable up to save battery life.

Fish a f***ing trunk panel clip out of the deep dark passageways of the trunk ...

I swapped out my OEM for a Ford Performance blank panel, and decided to use the new clips (already mounted on the panel) and just yank the originals. So I get to the last one, and it launches INTO the trunk. Now when I was doing my black GT badge, I had a couple of pins break lose, fall in, but they fell out with just a few closes.

This clip went into the front corner (from what I could hear). Ugh, so rattling when it opened/closed, though at one point it seemed sort of stuck, so not banging around, but still sort of rattling.

Well, I needed a new magnetic pickup tool, scored this one from Amazon:

$10, 24" super strong magnet - got it delivered about 10 minutes ago.


I had already put everything, the liner, etc., back together, so I just popped out the right, round access plug, shoved it in once, nothing, twice, wiggled it around - HOLY SHIT, got it!

Hahaha, this is the best $10 I spend in the last week
