I think you’ve found the “suck zone” where tools and sockets go to die.

Ford didn’t design the car with individuals that are going to strip it down and wrench in mind. You’re the exception, not the norm.. I don’t see what there is to complain about.

I just did a lot of research on while Ford Motor Company decided to engineer the body structure to increase the chances of objects being dropped into the voids of body.
My original thoughts that it's was of such design to foil the alcohol induced mechanic from knocking his beer can spilling beer on the side of fender. With the gap there it can spill inside fender.
As I did my research I found that Ford did this to frustrate Chevy die hards from buying Ford's, they knew that once they lost all their tools they would go back to Chevies. Who knew

OMG! I'm new to working on my GT. What Ford genius left this hole here so our tools etc fall in? I have to take the fender liner out to retrieve my tools! &^%$#&(((!!!!! FORD. This is just one of many FORD suckages.

I gutted my brand new 2019 car to build a racecar and I think I'm going to put my car back together and sell it. I hate this thing. OK. Rant over...

Man this car SUCKS!

So your dumb ass dropped a tool somewhere and you blame it on everything but your own stupid self? Makes sense.

I guess you don't work on your car or you are so good you never dropped a tool.
I mean. This happens on any car. Get some duct tape and problem solved. The fuck? It's not that bad bro. Get good or go home. I've literally used magnet tools all over the place in auto repair.

That tool did you a favor. Now take out the other three fender liners and save some more weight

Soooooo, is it Ford's fault if you drop something in the magical void between the driver's seat and the center console?

I did this once. I now have a magnet on a string in my garage. Problem solved.
