Off topic - but how would you compare the IRS between the 99 and the S550? Probably night and day, but man people used to hate on it when those cars were new due to the fact it wasn’t a good drag setup without a lot of work.

I had a modded 10th anniversary Cobra with the IRS. In that platform I really felt the old IRS did nothing but ride a little better. Maybe it handled better if you took hard turns on a road with a lot of bumps in the curves,lol.
Have had a solid axle rear end mustang with the torque arm/panhard bar set up and I felt it was as good as the old IRS or better track wise.
The S550 cars are on a different level but still need some help. You can thank Ford NVH standards for most of the minor shortcomings. Thankfully with a few items the newer IRS works great in about any situation.

My statement to follow is obviously very subjective..., but I think Mr. NC Stang Guy's wheel/tire combo is perrrrfect. And the stance is absolutely spot-on as well.
