I have no plans either way at this point, besides throwing it on my lift and staring at its undercarriageYou guys looking to modify it, or keeping it stock, powerwise?
Why, what are you thinking?
My car got an "18" on 11/19 and its been the same since. I believe its a "supposed to be" number, and had proven unreliable.I have noticed that on cars shipped by truck (convoy). Fkranger (1074) car was just delivered by truck and "20" was in "transitDate". I have no idea what it means.
JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM MY DEALERSHIP...
GSM called Detroit to determine the status of my and another GT500 order. He was told that they would not ship until February/March of 2020. Ford would not say why but this is consistent with the October Produced/In Production CFTP vehicles. None have gone to Penske as none have been released by the FRAP. Our guess is that it has something to do with one or more issues with the CF Wheels, CF Splitter, CF Wing, Sport Cup2 tires and/or chassis strength due to the Rear Seat Delete. Who knows at this point? Calibration updates have been completed and all other aspects of the car is otherwise same as the Base model.
To bad for the other Shelby ordered at it has a pre-paid appointment for a wide-body upgrade in early January. Ford asked for my phone number to personally call me with an apology. Frustrated by the inconsistent message as received from Ford Performance.
I will wait and discontinue posting potential misinformation as I am getting significantly different messaging from all levels at Ford. A higher level of patience is in order for this incredible car. Will appreciate it that much more...
Frustrated, but still happy to be in the game!!!
I can not blame your frustration. This just keeps getting crazier. I wish you the best, and to prove the man wrong
